I think Go Shiina is the main composer of the series and Kajiura is only for the main theme and ended up composing number of tracks (like the anti hero situation lolol) I guess it will not sit well if Go Shiina will only receive the award .. (more like formality?)

Yeah, that would be incredible for them but I think will never happen; it would essentially be SEE-SAW 2.0.

KnY requires the star power and thematic continuity of Aimer and LiSA, in telling the story of the show progressively through song, while other artists guest from time to time for variery.

I can understand the star power point, but starting with Chiaki (through the main theme) and ending with her as well would be thematically beautiful, imo.

I would imagine Kimetsu as a franchise is big enough at this point to be used as a vehicle for some lesser known Sony talent. But I guess it's a movie trilogy now so the visibility for said talent would be limited now... And with that said, it's not like Kajiura is some unknown either so I guess I should be careful what I say since she's done every ED so far. ;p

Of course Kajiura is massive as an influential musical entity but that's as a composer, etc.. FJ as her artist imprint, is not as known by the normie non-anime-following, global general KnY audience (Kalafina may have been a slightly different case).

Having artists with mainstream Japanese / global charting attention is part of the marketing strategy to drive the hype for the show itself.

I mean, if they were going to change artists this was really the time to do it, instead they went back to LiSA and Aimer. FJ will probably still do BGMs (hopefully some lyrical tracks and not just soundtracks), and maybe another ED.

Maybe I am wrong in assessing Kimetsu's popularity. Or maybe it's indeed more logical to have their bigger acts and bigger franchise promote eachother, than try to give their smaller act a chance at a popularity boost.

Kimeteu being a shounen is even popular in my country and some KnY films got screened here. In greek anime groups they seem to fight always which is best among Dragon Ball Bleach Narroto One Piece and One punch man so they dig anything that has fights in it. They recently talk about Solo Leveling as well.

Me too i think it would be cool if thry had someone lesser known too but what can we do ? Before Kalafina and even during them alot of Kajiura song were for lesser known entertainment (see her beginning or BeeTrain)
