My introduction (Westkana)

Westkana

HA! I live in her CLOSET!
I've been lurking the pages and forums of CPM for a few months now, but hadn't gotten around to making an account :XD:.

As everyone on here (probably) is, I am a HUGE Kalafina fan and have been for about a year. I first heard them when I accidentally clicked on their To the beginning PV on YouTube, and "accidentally" found my favorite group. I love almost all songs by them (except for probably In Your Eyes and Ashita no Keshiki), and my personal favorite would be Hikari no Senritsu (Magia is aclose 2nd). I unfortunately have never seen them live or have been to Japan, though it is on my bucket list to accomplish both of those things (please come to Anime Weekend Atlanta :TdT:)

Thanks for reading! :bye:

Does anyone know how to change the profile pic? It says "You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action." when I click on it.

Welcome to cpm!! Enjoy your stay here :)
About your profile pic, try to clicl on your name and should appear a panel with various options also for changing/update the profile pic ^^

Welcome Westkana, and don't limit yourself to just Kalafina, Yuki Kajiura has written lots of other music, some with the same vocalists, some with other vocalists, some instrumental.

I know, and I have listened to some of FictionJunction's music. However, the only songs that I have really liked from them (other than Stone Cold, Parallel Hearts, & Eternal Blue) are their english cover songs at lives. For the individual FJ projects, I like FJ KEIKO the best (for obvious reasons).

Thank you, @sprinterXkyrie ! Here's the full version of the drawing. I messed up on the logo (especially the K), but I did it in a different sitting where I was really tired (around midnight).

Welcome Westkana! ^0^ Same origin story ohoho XD And same songs we don't really like~ I quite like in your eyes' pre-chorus, but only that (plus the fact that the said part makes me want to dance :sohappy:) lol And Ashita no Keshiki is slowly growing on me, but I still get weirded out by Wakana's first few notes @_@

Hikari no Senritsu sounds really nice! But I only got to start appreciating it last year :3 It's so much of a bittersweet melody, although gets much sweeter in the end...

Yeah, let's continue aiming to see Kalafina live, hopefully in Dai Nihon! :w00t::cheer:

I take it you're from the Atlanta area, then? last year I went down for some Japan-related event I can't remember the name...

I also suggest giving a listen to some See-Saw songs if you haven't already. Do you listen to any YK OSTs?
Wow! That's nice! You can make your own thread on creative corner section.. Join us, hihi! XDD
yes, yes; do join us :gimmeh:

Welcome! I have seen you around already. Glad you are getting to know the forum. But if you have any questions let me know as I have been on the forums for awhile now, before 2009 but that's when the forum was brought back. So not sure when I joined. But I love Kalafina and have seen them twice: Anime Boston and Anime Central (this one is in Chicago, a city near me, so it was a dream come true, especially since they had the band, but no Konno (the violinist) so I was sad on that part) and both were great! Boston was when they first started, but was still fun. I can't wait for the next album and have been watching Budokan Live. Yes, you should check out other Yuki music. I recommend the Hanako to Anne soundtracks, as they are very moving, and good music to relax to. I do like In Your Eyes, but I can see where some people could be annoyed with it, and Ashita no Keshiki is growing on me, like Suteki said. I didn't like it at all at first, but it's now in my playlist. Anyways, welcome, I am Liana, I hope you like it here!
