Hi everyone! I have been lurking on this forum for waaay too long and figured it was high time I actually join and participate as a member.

I've been a huge Kalafina fan and discovered them right around Lacrimosa. My dream is to make a trip out to Japan attend one of their Christmas concerts, if I ever figure out all the confusing ticketing processes and whatnot. Really any chance to see them live would be amazing, but man I imagine their strings concerts are something else.

I missed their concert at Anime Expo a number of years ago, but ended up going to the FictionJunction concert at AX the year later, so I guess technically I've seen 2/3rds of Kalafina haha.

Anyway, I'm really glad this site and forum exists, I look forward to meeting fellow Yuki Kajiura/Kalafina/FictionJunction fans and hopefully getting to know you all a little better.

esp bc of their xmas dresses //whacked
what I wouldn't give for there to be a full release of their xmas concerts ;__;

Really hoping for another Live CD. The 5th Anniversary had some real gems.

Haha having friends in Japan is pretty key it seems. Now I've just gotta make some new friends in Japan!

I am from the US, which has seen its fair share of convention guest appearances by Yuki Kajiura and related acts. Hoping Kalafina keeps its current streak of visiting the US every 2 years.

Yes I agree with you we need more Live CDs. And a full release of their Xmas concerts like what @aki said would be really, really nice too :comeback:

:white:You need friends in Japan to be abel to see them live in Japan, is that the only way?
If so then its pretty much game over for me.:rain:
I can only hope that Kalafina will come to europe again someday.:comeback:

Are there any travel agents that you can find in your country that specialise in travel to Japan? That's how I ended up being able to see Kalafina and Chiaki Ishikawa at Animelo Summer Live 2011 and meeting Chiaki Ishikawa afterwards backstage. If you can have someone in Japan get FictionJunction Club membership on your behalf (ie in your name but with contact details in Japan) that someone can also help you bid for tickets earlier and for fan club exclusive events.

If there are any Japanese people that you can find in Norway or people in Norway who have studied or worked in Japan, they may be able to help you get in touch with someone in Japan who could help.

You know, I don't really know. I discovered that the forums had more info and reactions to things like new CD and live performances, so I kinda just kept lurking. Now I use the forums to keep up with the latest on releases and vids.

Welcome! I am Liana. Please ask anything about Yuki, as I am a fanatic I would say. Ha! I've seen Kalafina at Anime Boston (though they were still new, but did an awesome job with their first album songs) and again at ACen (since I live near Chicago) and they had the band! (But no Konno, sadly, the violinist is my favorite band member) It was so fun and amazing. They sang my favorite song: obbligato, which was amazing. I was over the moon happy the whole trip. (I love conventions, but they are a bit crowded for my taste). I would so love to go to Japan as it is my dream to see a full live from Yuki. (she played with Kala at Anime Boston) And I love FJ too. Well, enjoy your stay!
