@sora i don't actually watch the show, I just skim over it but as you said I thought the ost was standing out more. the volume definitely got fixed.
 
That's not a bad thought. I'd be down for a short 1 disc ost and second disc filled with "bonus" musics. Better than getting 20 different sfx tracks that all sound the same.

Edit: @wat11 I can see why the ost would be boring. It's very much written as a supporting element in the show, much like all of Kajiura's work with this sound director, Iwanami. Still, I actually think the show isn't half bad, and the music actually fits in with the show unlike SAO.

^ Nobody said they all have to be sfx ones, but yes thats the tendency the recent years, sadly.

Basically the only new track was the one at 20:05 - 21:19. The music isnt bad but not very exiting either.

They seem to havent worκed too much on the plot. The things are happening too slow, and there's almost no character development if you except the bits about Ange and Beatrice's pasts, and the action is very repeatitive. Dorothy seduces guards, Beatrice changes voice and Ange uses the green thing, and the ninja girl slashes. Why dont they make them do things outside of their comfort zone ?

This ep has the most action of all so far, loved it :D

the battle theme at 16:17 is not new just longer. i have a vocal free edition posted last week.

i would love to see Kajiura meddle with Japanese flavors :)) but it was way too short in this episode that I'm calling it sfx for now.

hmm i like the battle theme at 5:38! hope it develops further.
 
I don't think the sword clashing(Katana to Katana) in Episode 5 has that kind of sound? I hope Kajiura-san stops working with this sound director(Iwanami was it?). I feel like he's depending too much on the OST and spam sound effects during battles(like his work on Fate/Apo too). IMO, there is something wrong on how he handles the volume/blending of OST+environmental sounds or Talking+Minimal/No Noise that didn't fit on certain scenes.

So many delicious tracks in this episode for me though :D
 
I'm not really happy with the sound director at all, but I really liked the music for the action scenes this episode.
I'm enjoying the show so far, not the best of the season, but it's watchable and I love the animation and the little music we could hear, Last episode was fun as well, but I find odd that (SPOILER) all the spies always go with the princess and no one never suspects anything :XD: Also, I didn't expect this episode plot twist. I was from the beginning like "I'm sure the assasin killed Chise's father, that's why she wants revenge". But at the end, I was so wrong. Happy to see something surprising,
I love the opening and the ending is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. THe music is so sweet and the animations of the chibi girls :plz:

There had been advertisements during the late night anime timeslot on Tokyo MX 1 for the game.
 
Oh yup that was a lovely melody and lyrics. Νot sure if Remi would fit. But with all these men in the anime, maybe its sung by Tokyo Konsei in OST ? Lol

It would be perfect if Dorothy's VA and her father VA sing moonlight melody together :')
 
I hope Kajiura gets some male singer for the ost recording. The song sounded quite nice coming from a male chorus at the end of the episode.
 
Just watched Ep 4. I like the strings song that plays while they are infiltrating the ship I think? I am not sure. It sounds much like a KnK fight song, which I love! Some of the jazzy stuff throws me off, unless it's just the sound director. He does use parts of songs. (I forget, is he the same that did SAO?) I do like the vocal part though! Will hopefully get to the others tomorrow.
 
^Sound director is the same guy Kajiura worked with on KnK, F/Z, Sao, Erased, and now this.
 
But how is it possible to be in this one as well ? I mean this isnt an Sony/Aniplex show nor ufotable. Maybe its Kajiura who chooses him ?
