Go Shiina & (notsomuch) Yuki Kajiura to compose for Kimetsu no Yaiba (S4: Airing May 12)

The ones Kugayama posted.

and a separate tweet about the music:

やー鬼滅の刃、原作も滅茶苦茶面白いですがアニメの力の入り方もあらゆる方面からヤバすぎて見るの楽しみすぎるのです。私が作らせて頂いたBGMは割と冒頭数話に固まっていると思うのですが椎名さんのヤバカッコイイBGMがまた物語の展開と共に続々と増えて行きそうで!それも楽しみ!です!

I'm not sure what clip Yuki Kajiura is refering to here (or whether it's blocked outside of Japan):

公式サイトで公開されている第一弾PVの冒頭などで石川さんの迫力あるお声をご堪能頂けますよ(´▽`)♪

Interesting....still no ED announcement...Is this related to your tax fraud ufotable? hmmmm jk :groucho:

Intro song, and everything after 16:00 sounds like Kajiura, except LiSA's song, of course :groucho:
I liked what I heard from both composers, and their styles don't clash at all (so far, anyways, hue)
@Justisamuel , Chiaki definitely sang for Kajiura.

I'm prepared to be disappointed but...
Kajiura gave me nostalgia thanks to Chiaki's vocal
Shiina gave me Disney tracks :blood:

I guess his work is not really for me...and people like their Japanese Paramore huh....

I like the animation tho I'm glad they incorporated their abilities manga-style seen in the OP

I loved the music!!! There was so much Chiaki! i think she did tracks for both composers. Track 1 and the one right before the episode end as well as the ED bgm where definetely by Kajiura. The ones with slow chorus along with music were definitely Go Shiina and reminded me of the Sailor Moon Crystal OSTs ^^; Go Shiina tracks maka Kajiura not use the same kind of melodies all around the episode, and this is really refreshing!! Also the chiaki track before the end was definetely with kajiurago, so that makes it the first time chiaki sings kajiurago XD

Plot was interesting. Poor guy lost his happy family :( the first half of the episode had some many death flags ^^;

Ufotable sure loves to use snow in its animes so much! KnK, Fate Zero, and now this XD

I'm only in the middle but holy fuck is this shit boring. And why is the MC narrating literally every second so far?

Edit: Nope, I think I'm done already. When that boring Kajiura theme kicked in @16m I literally rolled my eyes. The writing and constant inner monologues killed me. The show has no flow.
I'll wait for The Adventures of Waver-kun in July and hope for the best.

Like which shows? Every BeeTrain show was more involving than this episode for me. Even the ones I dropped in the middle like Tsubasa and El Cazador.
I managed to be more interested during the 1h premiere of Fate/Zero and I found that show boring very quickly.

This episode had zero style. Unless you love radio dramas with constant narration. In which case, I'm happy for you.

Well i like the narration in velveteen rabbit :P and i think it wont continue further in than in this episode (i guess @Justisamuel can tell us) I do hate when narration spoils stuff, and its even worse when comments on character actions like i ve seen in some comedy shows. SAO had alot of inner monologues in the novels but they've cut most of it in the anime.

Does a CD with someone reading a story compare to a TV show with characters constantly explaining everything they are doing and feeling? Two very different things...

I'll give the next episode or two a go when I feel like it. It's just that this premiere was horribly executed to me.

Yeah, constantly telling the audience what's happening is bad storytelling.

It should be mainly visual narrative.

I also couldn't find myself invested in FATE after a couple of episodes

First episode was okay but the talking was way out of hand. I really wish ufotable would hire some new writers because all of their tv shows have had this problem so far.

The music was good. The sound direction could have been a bit sharper but I think the soundtrack brings a very nice atmosphere. I'm not sold on Kajiura's work though. All of her tracks, in this episode and in the promos, have been arrangements of the folk chant and I'm starting to think that's all she contributed to the score.

Hmmmm. Based on what we got so far, one certainly could get that impression.

Yep, there's definitely Ishikawa x Kajiura, it's obvious in this episode. So I just missed a part during the credits of the compilation, apologizes, but it happens to be a good thing in the end (the opposite would have been very bad).
The track used during the credits of the compilation was not the same (it was Go Shiina). They didn't play this one (at least this part) in theaters.
But the music used during this first episode is almost the same than in the compilation (I guess we can expect mostly Go Shiina during the 4 next episodes).

I didn't notice major differences concerning the display of animation sequences.
