Windows 8 major hanging problem

So today, me and my father decided today to use our benefit, from purchasing my - then- new computer with the offer of getting Windows 8 Pro with only 15 Euro. The Installation was fine, but then, after 5 minutes and after I had wirelessly connected to the internet to daektop froze, no mouse was moving and no button was pressable. We had to force close by continuesly pressing the powe button, when it opened in happened again, a bit later and in the end we had done that 4 times when we decided to turn off the wireless adapter, and connect the laptop to the rooter via an Ethernet cable.

Fortunately this tims - at least for now - it stopped hanging, the only problem is that

1) Microsoft still hasnt fixed this major problem after a whole month after the release of win 8 :stupidtable: :stupidtable: :stupidtable: :voodoo: :voodoo:

2) It wont install me the windows updates - on of which might solve the said issue - it keeps failing. (I read in a forum that it cant install the 4th update) :blood:

I have posted a text on the Microsoft forum and and I'm curious as to what these bastards are going to answer :knife: :knife: :knife:

What an awful experience it is indeed. (not that I have a Windows 8 PC though)

It seems that many people will be more convinced of not switching to Windows 8 right away. I for one will consider buying it at least one year and a half from now.

Sans the issue, how do you find Windows 8 as compared to 7?

Actually I'm one of those who afraid to use Windows 8, since Windows has some history with their releases, one good, and then one super bad.

I'm still using XP in my laptop, because my laptop is so old (2009), but so far it's still so good, so I don't really bother to change it.

We would be updating after 1 years as well, but we tohught about taking advantage of the discount that allows you to download win8 for only 15 Euros. I hadnt had time to look at it in detail since, since yesterday I have been trying to figure out what's causing those problems I experience (hang with wireless connection and inability to install a certain update, which means that if you install them in a bunch, it will cancel all of them if it cant install 1 :uh..: )

For now it seems like that Win 8 = Win 7 + Start screen with tiles and apps.

So to update the status, the only time it hanged today was when I tried to run a program that was for windows 7, it looks like in win8 there's an emulator thing that runs these programs @_@ anyway, my father found for free online an official book (Windows 8 Step by Step) that's normally sold and I will go read a bit of it.

In other news, I installed each of the windows updates one by one and it now installed all of them except the one that was causing the general update failure, so I now know which it is.

Also I found at the intel and invidia websites that there are new versions of the drivers for my processor and video card, I will make sure they are for my system and then I will install them.

Ok, today I installed all the updates one by one (it magically managed to install even the one that couldnt the previous days), I disconnected from the ethernet cable, and now im on wireless, and when I connected Microsoft mouse (lol) that I used to use with windows 7, it hanged lol so I tried an other mouse that my brother had (logitech ) and it works fine. Its really ironical that it was a microsoft mouse that couldn't work with microsoft windows :ohoho:

Now I have to clean my brother's mouse because its full of dirt :XD:

screw that, it hangs with the second mouse too, and what's worse is that it handge even when I had it without mouse (just using the touch bar) when I it was switching music (I was playing F/Z ost) while I was at the same time using firefox.

Also I cant get the windows store app to work (it stops on the loading screen), anyone else having that problem ?

^ this one seems to be related with the fact that when I was installing windows I choosed to use my local acccount and not create a Microsoft one, so now none of the apps can access the internet, not even the one that's supposed to let you make a Microsoft account, seriously, this OS is FULL of bugs :blood: :blood: :blood:

I'll try to consult someone regarding this once I get back to work. Hopefully they may be able to help. Just keep on updating your situation here, george...

@Nick: Yes, you MUST switch to Win 7 right away. Since Microsoft no longer gives a damn to XP, your computer may be extremely vulnerable to threats now...

What? They have Windows 8 in N.Korea :XD: ?

I forgot to menthion that my laptop was fixed after I updated my blue tooth driver, and my latop works perfect since then (since November 12)
