Why is Lacrimosa tv size and full version different?

I was watching Kuroshitsuji the other day, and for no reason i decided to watch the opening, and while i was watching and listening i realized that Wakana sings the chorus differently than in the full version.

Why did they re-recorded Lacrimosa?
IMO the way she sings it in the tv size is better.
 
My guess is that TV size versions are usually recorded before the full version of the song. Most of the time, the TV is a "trial version" if you will.

think about Kioku and Kioku -90sec. Liminality ver.- by See-Saw and also Obsession and obsession tv-size. the versions are very different. I'd say Yuki likes to personalize the songs for TV instead of just chopping them to 90sec versions. maybe she has a different idea that she doesn't think is the best but its worth to record.... :confu:

I think Kioku -90sec. Liminality ver.- is waaaaaaaaaaay better than the full version (which was released months later), obsession tv-size is much better IMO. :shy:

In my opinion, WAKANA sang, in some way, a bit in a hurry in the TV size.
I think WAKANA was 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000001% faster in the TV size.

And..the climax was just simply CUT OUT in the TV size, so I hate it a bit... :blood: :blood:

Was it really released months later? Either way, even if that's the case, I doubt Kioku was actually recorded after the -90sec Liminality version-. I bet they just werent planning to change the OP on every Liminality episode (or Kajiura wasn't informed), so Yuki had to cook something up.

Personally, while I do wish the Liminality ver had a full version, I actually love the released Kioku. It is one of my favorite Kajiura songs - the way it keeps building up throughout the whole song gives me the chills. ARIA really reminds me of Kioku in that aspect.

I agree here. It is much more focused and exciting than the full version.

As for why Lacrimosa is different, I don't know. It could be just that they used some demo recording for the TVsize (cause I'm pretty sure the actual music is also not the same as in the full Lacrimosa). Could be any number of reasons TBH - Kajiura not actually liking that Wakana "climaxes" so fast in the full version, or that the lyrics in 2nd verse/chorus don't necessarily reflect the emotions the TVsize does. Really, could be any number of reasons.

I love the full Lacrimosa. Shame they never included the TVsize on any CD though. :)
 
Kioku (full version) was released only 1 month after the 90sec. ver (my mistake). listening to the .hack//Liminality OPs, it occurred to me, that maybe Yuki just wanted to make the song a little more energetic like the other 3.

i watched the Kuroshitsuji ED.... it didn't sound so different to me.
 
Yeah, I noticed too. And I prefer the TV size.
Maybe they didn't use pitch correction on it?
 
I know there were some differences, but a re-recording is WAWW !!
