Wasn't "Girls with Guns" supposed to be a trilogy? I'm sure i read it somewhere.
Yes, but Mashimo said it when El Cazador was out.
Judging by the "conveyor belt" mechanism of the anime industry, little prevents GnG from becoming a quadralogy... pentalogy... and so on, and so forth.

Remember, even the purpose of Madlax alone was seriously questioned in its time.
It seems that Mashimo-san just has a soft spot for GnG genre. Even Avenger and Phantom revolve around that theme somehow.
I just find it disturbing sometimes that from 6 works Yuki composed for Bee Train, Tsubasa (I counted both seasons as one work) is the ONLY series that doesn't deal with girls and guns or virtual traps and online existencialism. And what if the series hadn't gone to Bee Train? As we can see, Madhouse doesn't seem very keen on inviting Yuki, and P.I.G. also had rather recycle the four previous Future Soundscapes.

Hey, what's happened to Star Ocean? :omgwtf: I'm playing the original game now, and it looks like the best RPG ever made for SNES. And Motoi Sakuraba is a really decent composer, although, citing you
Because that's axiomatic.
Xenosaga is done.
Namco-Bandai owns the rights to Xenosaga, and Monolith soft is with Nintendo now.
Namco retains the rights for a lot of games whose original developers they expelled by their policies

Tales of... series went the same way.
