I want to take a course wherein It will only take us about one or two hours of meeting with the proffesor each day.
Or as minimum as possible

In reality, I want to be a composer and an expert in piano performing.
But it is not recommended to take Bachelor of Music.

I know that you have studied at a university.

:o! Another (potential) music major?

Only one course? At a college? I don't know many courses where you meet with the professor everyday. And why is a bachelor of music not recommended (and by who)? Of course, there are other paths to becoming a composer and/or piano performer though mostly through luck, connections, and maybe studying with a master composer or pianist, if you can convince them to take you - but taking the obligatory courses at college isn't a bad idea if that's the path you know you want to take. Exposes you to more connections, for one, and helps develop a well-rounded music background.

There no such thing a easy course (if you prefer vocational course :knife: :knife: )...

I think the course becomes easy if you fully love that/the course...

Like me for example first I took Nursing (because my family wants too)
It doesn't turn out well :uh..: :uh..: especially my 2 Chemistry........

then On the next semester I shifted my course to Education (I have no dream becoming a English teacher)

I failed all my Educ sujects :blood: :blood: :blood:

Then finally they gave up! :plot: :plot:
they allowed me to take BSIT course... even so the minor subjects and the time sucks (Except for Math and English) :knife:
well I think I passed all my subjects (I havent take my midterms on my IT Concepts and Fundamentals :blood: :blood: and I didn't attend my 3 subjects... :blood: :blood: )

so take the course you want even though its hard.... :dote:

I assume you're gonna study composing?

It's..well..i've looked over some requirements for that section in our colleges and ..well...i think i actually prefer math to it (and i HATE numbers).

:)) When i saw what they require you to know for the entry exam i was thinking maybe they confused the exam subjects with the courses you actually take there. (But, naturally, it wasn't so,. I double checked)

It might be different where you are but the bottom line is you can be an excellent composer even without formal training. Do whatever you think will make you feel happy and feel that you've achieved something. I, for one wouldn't try to major in composing, to tarr and feather me.

Nice one Ayashii.
to tell you the truth, My I.Q. is actually 149.
That I.Q. might be genius level but I am not that genius that you think yet I am under-achieving :uh..:

I once won an National Chemistry Olympiad in De La Salle University
last year. I met a lot of good proffesors and they all studied Masteral and Doctoral outside the country.
But I seem to not have the luck and opportunity to make it happen. :uh..:

I even tried my best to convince my mother to migrate to CANADA but It failed :uh..:

Why am I under-achieving this so much.
I lack achievements. etc......

Why can't I be like KIYOKO
She is obviously studying abroad. :uh..:
She's got her own website :uh..:
She draws the cutest anime characters :uh..:
She knows a lot of languages :uh..:
And best of all She is happy with her life :uh..:

I even don't have what Kiyoko has.
And worse, I am a FILIPINO and nothing but a FILIPINO.
and worst, She will never post back if I posted.

KIYOKO was once known to be a great spammer, She used to post a lot of things on Canta-per-me.net but she is not posting anymore.

I SUCK!!!!! :uh..:
I SUCK!!!!! :uh..:

I feel so Guilty :uh..:

I wonder if I will ever be sucessful in my life.

Its not it........ XD

Be confident!
:listen: You will achieve nothing if you think like that!

If you want to be a composer take it.. We taking that course because of fear

I'll rather take Chemical Engineering or Management Engineering in De LA Salle in Ateneo.

Music is low money and worst, Philippine Music is degrading.
they say that If you will become a composer in the Philippines, You will earn to live with 3 rice bowls a week.
And Music in the Philippines are borrowed from abroad.
About only 100~200 newly composed music is being composed in the Philippines every year. (Including non songs).
LOW QUALITY.
Unlike In Japan where 4,000+ music was composed in 2007. ALL IN HIGH QUALITY.

Unlike in Japan where Composition is actually a good job to take and conservatory standards are high.
Kajiura Yuki was lucky to take that Chance.
I happened to have red the biography of Charles Ives (an american composer during 1900~1950) and he was not able to attend conservatory.
His desire to become a composer made him a composer and he made America which was a country with boring music into a revolutionary one.

I wanted to be a composer but there is no way I will take the path that Kajiura chose because that path does'nt exist but I will take the path of Charles Ives to be a composer.

I call the "being a composer without taking conservatory" as an indirect method to be a composer.

I always think that to become a composer, you need the talent and luck, not only education (especially only in college). music talent must be nurtured since child's day....
so whether you will be a composer or not doesn't depend on what course you take
and again, there are good composers and bad composers...

...it's a view from someone without music talent like me

Dude, you don't have to think like that. You need a LOT of luck to be a composer, and a good one. Lots of connections and stuff.

:P I'm so sorry to hear you're not that fortunate regarding that. :(

But don't be discouraged. As i've read, you're pretty intelligent so you should have little problem adapting to other stuff rather than music.

And you could keep music as a hobby. You could also compile portfolios and send them to American/English/whatever game developpers who say are looking for composers for games/movies/whatever. You don't have to limit yourself to the Philippines.

NICE Call Ayashii.

So! I need a lot of luck. :ayashii:

I wonder If I can study abroad like Kiyoko but I don't have luck either. :uh..:
What can I do If migrating to Canada is my only Choice ???
I cannot convince my parents to do so. :uh..:

FORGET the composing thing.

I am more worried on why Kiyoko is not posting anything anymore. :uh..:
It's obviously my own stupid fault. :uh..: dammit.........
I am planning to delete my own account if these continue to happen. :uh..:

SERIOUSLY :uh..:

Or even kill myself for honorable purpose. dammit..........

Err..what happened to Kiyoko? O.o what did i miss?

Like i said, you don't necessarily need to emigrate. You can work from to comfort of your home, i think. But that's only for like starter projects. You would need to meet some people for the larger ones.

If you REALLY want to emigrate to Canada, focus on that first, i suppose. I don't really know xD

what what whaaat ?????? XDDD

LOL HUAA IF YOU WANT YOU CAN HAVE HER GTALK ADDRESS! :sparkleguy: ask me ask me :plot:

Thank you but I will just have to move on with my life and Admit that I am once an achiever who turned into an achiever.

I have to admit that Filipinos are nothing but losers. :uh..:

I used to have foreigner classmates and they say that Filipino people are perverts.
And speaking about Filipino People has a malicious content.
Everytime they think of the Filipino people there is always malicious thoughts on their heads.

Thank you for your comments and I appreciate it well.

We Filipino's are destined to be Proletariats and I accept it without bitter qualms.
Not all countries can be like Canada or America.
I believe that I should serve the Canadians.

One last Question.
Now, I am training myself to be either a seaman or a nurse.
But I am really afraid of blood and I am not Athletic. :blood:
I am only good in Math that I let my classmates cheat and they treat me after.
If there is one anime character to describe me accurately.
That would be FUYUKI HINATA.
But, Forget my I.Q. anyway, according to a book, It is only 20% determiner of your success.

I am tired of this. I must have the strength of loyalty and courage.
I must learn how to obey properly.
I must train myself to be a good worker.
I know I cannot betray my own master. :TdT:

I am training myself with English and Pronunciation in order to be a good call center agent. :study:
I am training myself on how to wash dishes so that I will be a helper and my master will be proud someday.
I am training myself to master household chores to be a good maid.

But I don't know how to control my fear of blood.
I am Physically weak? :omgwtf:

Could I ask you a question?

1.)What are the characteristics of an Ideal servant?
2.)What's with the oversees asian workers in your country doing.

I don't think i can answer your questions, I haven't really researched those subjects..much.

I do, however, have a question. Why you so scared of blood? It ain't gonna eat you... O.o

And please don't see yourself as destined to a life of servitude! xD I believe every man has his own forte, even if that forte can reveal it's self after 30 years...

CASE DISMISSED.

If there Is another reason Why I have to migrate to Canada.
That would be, I have never seen my Father for years.

oh.. I see...
well... nao I gained Interest to you hua Xiao...
if you give me some samples of your compositions...
let me be your critic :stars:

maybe you can teach me the basics of music :ayashii: :ayashii:
