Do you think she choosed her short hair because of Studio Ghibli anime?
I read they were her favorite animes and a lot of the female protagonist wear short hair like she did.
Or was this short hairstyle common in Japan?

Also the white dress Kiki wears at the end bear resemblance to Wakanas white dress in 2008

Do you like Wakana better with short or long hair?
I think I like her a more with short hair like in 2008.
It looks more innocent and cuter. I wish there were some pics out there but you dont find any on Google from her.

Wacchan with short and curly hair was damn cute!!!!! Also I love her with fringe :) But long hair give more possibilty for various hairstyle, so so long hair pawa ùwù
 
Agree with HimeWakana that long hair gives more options for styling, but dang the short hair looks really good on Wakana.

Wakana was never chubby. Just because she was a little bigger than Hikaru and Keiko, who are freaking twigs if you haven't noticed, that doesn't mean she was chubby. Wakana, in every era I've seen here in, has always had a very healthy body. If you think someone who looks that that was chubby, you really need to get your priorities straight.
 
chill out, girl. chubby doesn't mean that a girl is fat. george doesn't mean any harm. what he meant is wakana is now thinner than she was back then on their debut era (2008). same thing could also be said for keiko, whose cheeks were definitely chubbier back then. although i think between all the kalafina girls keiko is the one with the more fluctuative (?) cheeks because one day her cheeks looked so boney (after eden live 2011) and one day she looked "chubby" or "fuller" (type moon fes 2012).

as for Wakana's hair, almost every hairstyles suit her. that's because Wakana's face is beautifully perfectly oval-shaped, compared to Keiko's rounder face and Hikaru's steonger jawline. Wakana looked as beautiful with short hair, but as HimeWakana said, long hair enables more hairstyles so i prefer long hair.
 
^ exactly what I meant, for Wakana.

chubby doesnt mean fat, it means that she had more meaty cheeks and hands, compared to how she's now
 
Sorry, I'm a little sensitive when it comes to comments about weight, even if it's not directed at me, I'm sorry if I annoyed anybody.

Back to the subject, Wakana looks adorable in short hair, but long hair makes her look more elegant, so I would choose long hair.
 
But do you guys think she choose that hairstyle because of the animes?
Does someone know if this hairstyle was common in Japan at this time?

But I'll go with long hair, since I think with short hair you have to style them, while having long hair you can do more or just leave it without styling and it still looks good xD
 
I prefer Wakana's long hair for the same reason as many: It gives more options for styling. Plus I find long hair the most attractive...
 
Personally, Wakana looks best with sidebangs. Vol. 4, Red Moon Final, Consolation Special Final and Budokan all have Wakana with glorious sidebangs. <3 Also her hair in the YnD and ring your bell PV are my personal favorite hairstyles for her.

Wakana's hair like this is my least favorite (very unflattering on her)

I prefer long hair in general and think that short hair doesn't look good on most girls. Hikaru rocks it pretty well, though.

Wakana is one who looks a lot nicer with it long in my opinion. As for worst, 2012 Christmas Live. Her hair tied back in a ponytail combined with a headband means that she looks practically bald from many angles. There's some lovely photos from that event and those shoots, but her hair there bugs me a lot.
 
Totally my personal preference here, but I prefer it longer. Either hanging loose or with those twintailed braids.

Not that it didn't suit her when it was shorter...it's just, I'm so used to seeing her with longer hair now.
 
I love Wakana in long hair. In shorter she looked older. And the best hairstyle of Wakana is one from Consolation Special Final.

i must be the only one who thinks wakana looked wonderful when she had her hair tied back in ponytail (progressive, to the beginning, Hikarifuru) :XD: my favorite Wakana hair is the one in stone cold pv when they wear black dresses.
