Well, if she doesn't there is something seriously wrong with how they give out awards. :huh:
 
Despite all fanizem i have i think it's wrong to think that way since non of you heard the whole OST yet and non of you heard the competition.
Personally i'm amazed by the work of some other composers that are most in anime world only just like Kajiura is and i bet i could find few in international waters (originating from japan) who would deserve that reward as well.

Don't place judgments like that while not knowing the rest of the candidates. Being disappointed is something but saying there is something wrong is different. <.<

I agree, Chibi.

Others like...say...Takanashi Yasuharu ...Kaoru Wada ... & Shigeru Umebayashi would get my vote too. (If yuki wasn't in the "competition")
 
I agree too Chibi-Chibi, but it would be nice to see Yuki win something. :desksweat:

I'm pretty sure I might even like or listen to some of her competition. :bwahaha:
 
Yeah, I said if. (And as a follow-up to some of you thinking that the Venice film festival has a best music score award in the other thread. The Japan Academy Prize is just as prestigious as the Oscars, so if Yuki were to win next year… :pwease:)

I didn’t mean to offend Chibi in that way either – of course I have respect for all other composers too, but Yuki will always be #1 to me. Naoki Sato won the exact same award two years ago for ALWAYS Sanchoume no Yuuhi and I’m really proud of him for that. :aww: He didn’t win this year either, but that’s okay, because I like Michiru Oshima as well. Achilles and tortoise won the "Bastone Bianco Award" at venice film festival... but i dont know what that means and i can't find any info on it!!! :desksweat:
 
bah mine was in transit for ages but i just got mail saying tehy sand it (at HMV) so i guess i'll get it before the end of the week since its ESM >.<

Correct me if I’m wrong, but grunty is probably saying that A&T’s music is so-so. I’m still convinced – from hearing the trailer BGM – that this movie’s score should (at the very least) be nominated for a Japan Academy Award, though. :ayashii:

And yeah, WHERE IS THE SOUNDTRACK?!?!?! Why is it that certain releases/OSTs leak on the internet sooner than others or almost not at all (*cough*lonelywithyou*cough*)? :twitch: Ah well, good thing I already pre-ordered, so now I have to wait at least 2.5 more weeks to hear it.
 
Because its not anime we're talking about. And the movie os not so popular - but only because it was not released yet. So nobody bothers ripping it. As simple as that XD
