Long time no see! I'm still busy but I thought I could use a break :)

Here's another composer whom I would like to bring to your attention: Vladimir Cosma!

From Wikipedia:

Vladimir Cosma is a Romanian composer, conductor and violinist, born 13 April 1940 in Bucharest, Romania, into a family of musicians. After receiving first prizes for violin and composition at the Bucharest Conservatoire of Music, he arrived in Paris in 1963 and continued his studies at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris, working with Nadia Boulanger. As well as for classical music, he discovered early on a passion for jazz, film music and all forms of popular music.

He is a very prolific composer and his works can be heard everywhere. He writes all kinds of music but I mostly know him for his folk and film works. You can hear an elegant combo of folk and orchestra.
