Lebron James, at 9:27 PM EST, has announced that he will be playing with Miami Heat.
 
hehe. Well this is a huge topic before today in Basketball, and in sports in general in the US.

Such a HUGE star in LeBron James (Arguably the best player in the NBA currently) became a free agent in the NBA. Everybody was curious if he would stay in Cleveland, or go elsewhere. As the title suggests, this was "The Decision." For James to go to Miami Heat will impact the NBA for years to come.

He will be playing along with Bosh and Wade. He played with them in the Olympics in Beijing as part of the "Redeem Team" for US to win the gold medal after they failed to do so the previous Olympics. They played great together. As far as LeBron James is concerned, he believes that joining the Miami Heat will greatly improve his chance for winning his first NBA Championship.

I sure hope so... I do not want to see LeBron James among those who are amazing in the NBA but have never won a title. (Ewing, Barkley, Malone, Iverson)

I made this topic for thoughts about this... buuut I guess there are not really many US sport enthusiasts. Sorry for the vagueness in my first post. I was just curious if there would be some here at the wonderful CPM Fourms!! :XD:
 
I have to say... until the post above this one, I had no idea who LeBron James was.
 
not an avid bball fan either, but i saw it on the news today!

i thought he would be staying w/ the cavaliers... oh well, good luck to him.
 
Lots of my friends were talking about this yesterday, but I don't watch basketball so I don't really know the significance of the news :XD:
 
I know him, although there's no local tv that broadcasts basketball championships (even for local championship in my country).

I prefer to watch table tennis, badminton and world cup :ohoho:
