The Character Creation and Development Thread

I have many "drawings" for my characters, and unfortunately for the time being they're all women. As for the creation of a characters, I like to give him/her a purpose in the whole story whenever I create one.

Actually, I never ever gave attention to characters personalities and background. I only did this when it was plot-wise.

This changed in my new projects [HZR and GRD]... :uh..: It's a pain.

Oh, I deeply care about characterization, be it in a story done by me or by professionals. I usually spend quite some time depicting how a character is and how he fits into a story, since I've seen quite a few series that committed errors regarding this and it made me rage a lot lol For me, it is far more difficult to create a story, creating characters is far too easy (but to integrate them into a big story is another thing).

I believe everything needs balance, so I try not to overlook any element of a fiction work. Hence, I try to give attention to everything in a story, since I believe bad characters can make a good story crumble but the contrary is also true.

^That just means the person doesn't know how to handle his own story and the death will also be useless lol Another thing I dislike.

:knife: Nah, it just means that killing characters is fun! Torturing is also fun, but I never did that. I guess. Maybe once. :ayashii:

I killed a character on my 1st story because I didn't know how to fit a end for her.

:uh..:

Killing a character is not easy at all. Probably because it has to have a certain effect on the remain characters somehow.

Also death is one of the most tragic elements on a story, it is difficult to do it correctly if you don't anticipate it for too long.

you must create certain connexions. Because a death of a sole character means nothing (unless you're able to create a solitude feeling on it,and that's even more harder) but if other people get certain relationship to that character it can become something really tragic.

Sorry about the long explanation but I like to kill characters :dote:

I don't mind killing a character, but I will do it only if it brings something relevant to the story. Hence, I don't think I "like" to kill characters but I don't "dislike" either. The main character of my story that it's been unfinished for years (lol) is bound to die, but there are so many implications in her death, it makes me dizzy just to think about it :XD:

The characters I make are usually too sketchy, even in long works. :desksweat: And sometimes I try giving them proper background, but the results already made one or two groundbreaks in the field of WTFology, so I'm rather nervous to experiment further. Maybe elaborate character development is not for songtext medium, anyway... :XD:

I can't kill the main character of my first story... But that's because I can't kill myself. :XD:

ohh... I love killing my characters cause I always wanted a tragic ending to the story, now on my current story... well the character is mute. :knife:

This is the Character from my Novel..

I have twins characters from my Prince of Tennis's fanfic...

:nophoto:

The long-haired is ganster-like, sadist, and black-belt in judo.

The short-haired one is always sleeping (she spent about 12 hours for sleep).

@Tsubasa

I dunno...
