Hello everyone! I have been a fan of Kalafina since forever and was so happy to have found this website about them!

I did not want to start commenting before introducing myself, so here I am!

My name is Jason, but you can call me Jay. I'm from USA and I am studying to become a nurse. I work at a psychiatry clinic as an intern now but hope to graduate asap!
My favorite song is hikari no senritsu and fav member is Wakana xD

Please to meet you all. :shy:

Welcome fluoxotine! (is that some sort of medicine ? XD) the website's founder Kerahna is also studing (alot) to become a doctor :dote:

This webiste isnt only about Kalafina but for Yuki Kajiura's works and her related jpop groups (See-Saw, FictionJunction, Saeko Chiba, Kalafina) it just happens that Kalafina produce the most of the news since their birth :XD: but FJ has announced new album and all-Japan tour so expect alot the following months :)

Please enjoy your stay ! :sohappy:

Yes it is a medicine xD thanks for the warm welcome, George! An again please call me Jay. Ahh then Kerahna and I have much to discuss!!! Btw yes i am familiar with the other groups but what is the difference between kalafina and fictionjinction? It seems like the same members t me. Why a different name?

Welcome fluoxetine! FictionJunction can mean different things, but most often means Wakana, Yuriko Kaida, Keiko and Kaori on vocals, with Yuki Kajiura on keyboards and backing vocals, and the Front Band Members on guitar, bass, drums and violin. Kalafina is Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru with Hirotaka Sakurada on keyboards and the rest of the Front Band Members on guitar, bass, drums and violin. If you can visit Japan some time, a Yuki Kajiura / FictionJunction / Kalafina concert is a great live experience. The Front Band Members also do the occasional live show on their own, and vocalists Kaori and Yuuka Nanri (amongst others) have solo careers as well.

Enjoy your time here and if you wish you can use the on-line chat http://chat.canta-per-me.net

The differences between FictionJunction and Kalafina are

- FJ is older than Kalafina. FJ started with Kajiura working with different girls on solo songs: with Yuuka > FictionJunction YUUKA (2003-) she has released 6 singles and 2 albums with her, FJ Kaori (2005 >) > Dream scape and Hanamori no Oka, FJ Keiko (2005 >) Kaze no Machi e, FJ Wakana (2006 > ), Hikari no Yukue (the hokuto no ken one), FJ Asuka > everlasting songs (2006)
- In later 2007 Kalafina was founded by taking Wakana and Keiko from FJ (they passed audition though) and adding two more, Hikaru Masai and Maya Toyoshima. Maya was kicked out (or quit herself) after YK vol#2 and the sprinter single for unknown reasons.
- In 2009 Kajiura decided to unite these solo projects , probably to make ir more like Kalafina. She added Yuriko Kaida as a member. Yuriko sings chorus for Kalafina too (lots of time too) but since in FJ she's also reduced to choruses it make no difference :XD:
- FJ was releasing singles once per year afte its unity while Kalafina every 3 months.
- Hikaru has sung in FJ Yuuka lives as chorus along with Yuriko but she's still only considered Kalafina
- FJ's recording company is Flying Dog (previously Victor Entertainment) while Kalafina's Sony. I guess it good to keep them apart in oder for her to be able to release songs for anime sponsor by any of the labels :XD:
- In FJ Kajiura-san is member of the group while in Kalafina only producer (which means Kala can exist without her, if she gets bored of them)

Welcome Jay! I am Liana and also from the US, from Wisconsin in the Eastern part. I hope you like it here. Some may say that Kalafina has more of a dark sound most of the time, while FJ is more pop rock as well. I love both of them. I am also in the health field, but in Health Unit Coordinator. I just finished the program this year, and will graduate next month! I hope to get a job in an office or hospital, but it will be a lot of work. I hope your job hunt goes better than mine has. Welcome and if you have any questions let me know! :dote:

Hi Jay, welcome to CPM! Pleased to meet you too.

Hikari no Senritsu is also one of my favorite songs of Kalafina, since it gives the feel of sending a uniquely light message through its melody and lyrics... As for FictionJunction, despite having fewer songs than Kalafina all in all, they are great nevertheless. As for Wakana, I like her look in the "stone cold" by FJ the most. :D

Hope you have fun and participate in the forums more often!

Hi, Jay!
Welcome to CPM! I am from the US too! We share the same favorite song and favorite member! :XD: Hope you enjoy this site!
