Hello~
For Christmas, I got a recording set. It's has fairly good sound quality and I've been recording myself singing a lot today. But hours later, I try to sing again and I can't. I mean I can but it sounds disgusting. I try to reach high notes and my throat clenches, it sounds like I'm screaming or pushing it out and it hurts a lot. I've been doing exercises and tried to relieve the tension from my throat but none of it worked.
If anybody is kind and knowledgeable, could I please have some tips to help?

Thank you very much :touched::chuu::plz:

Take a break and try again the next day. The vocal cords are muscles. Try bench pressing 1 hours nonstop and see if you can even do a set of just the barbell. Point is, muscles need time to rest.

Also you should identify what your vocal range is and keep the singing to that range. Going outside the range as a beginner will damage your cords.
