similar tracks

I was just noticing a few days ago that

Vanessa from Madlax reminds me (a little) of

Nadie from El Cazador.

Do we have any lists anywhere of which tracks by Yuki Kajiura are most similar to other tracks by Yuki Kajiura?

I don't know of any list, but I think I remember someone mentioning that Mika Arisaka's "Toki no Sabaku" reminds him of "sand dream" from Dream Port.

also let go (Tsubasa Chr) and Shinobi Yoru Kage (Mai Hime)

ZIPANG (Mai - Otome) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qqpAfH-Lzk
I am the emperor - THOUZER #2 (Hokuto no Ken)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qqpAfH-Lzk
(cant find the second on youtube)

also a certain unreleased track of Fate-Zero (ep 13: 09:03 - 11:25) has similar melody with the also unreleased Great nature ED theme (Gaia)
:XD:

and there are more, I understand that she uses the same melodies sometimes because there's no way she can invent new melodies unlimitely.

"Shinkou ni Shimaru Yoru no Yume" starting at 0:51 from Mai Hime OST 2
and Magia instrumental starting at 2:30

agmen clientum from PMMM ost 2
and complications from RHH ost 1

and there are some homologous tracks found in fate/zero's and SAO's osts too.

Could you point it out? I really don't hear it.

Same beat, but it's a sample, isn't?

Do you have them? I forgot to save them

agmen clientum from PMMM ost 2
and complications from RHH ost 1

They both start with the same sound, but the percussion isn't really similar.

"Shinkou ni Shimaru Yoru no Yume" starting at 0:51 from Mai Hime OST 2
and Magia instrumental starting at 2:30

Damn, I was going to mention that.

Have another!
Ring your song, Tsubasa Chronicles OST 4 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcTp48mzIII
Bamboo forest, Sekai Satoyama

The start of both tracks where it sounds like a violin is being multi-tracked or two violins playing slightlyl different parts together.

Not a list, but a family tree instead. Courtesy of aki.
Too bad that the letters are very small. xD

LOL how did this get here

if you want to be able to read it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l08umplyrvf2w ... 20Clan.pdf
though mind you I haven't finished converting that chat log into the family tree ohoho

I guess I will point out the similarity between blessing and everytime you kissed me...

@aki: Hm I dont really get the logic of this diagram, oblivious isnt similar to any of these and gloria has no connection to aria besides both being ballads, similarly Magia is no connect with kimi ga hikari or snow falling and finale is similar to seventh heaven and not the interludes, and what with all these duplicates ? @_@

that track from Madoka Magica movie OST (forgot the name) and Kyrie.

that's the most memorable one for me.

^ but that was just the starting SFX, not similarity in the melody.

(btw the track was "odd world #3"

other similarity:

oblivious 01:00 - 01:05 (~ tooku ni) vs Life goes on 00:53 - 00:58 (~ inochi ga)

:omgz: but george, did you not read the Holy Bible of Kajiura songs?? It clearly states,
In the beginning was the Great Ancestor oblivious, and the Great Ancestor was with Kajiura, and the Great Ancestor was Kajiura. 2 He was with Kajiura to in the beginning. 3 Through him all Kalafina songs were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was music, and that music was the light of all Kalafinakind. Oblivious begat fairytale, ARIA, Kizuato, Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete iku and seventh heaven and from the clan of the Seventh Heaven arose all songs of Kalafinakind.

:ohoho: so that's what that diagram was :XD:

*is shot*

one more similarity, which when I was pointing it out nobody paid attention: between "Sora wa Tataku" (Haruna Luna - composed by Yuki) [part 01:08 - 01:44] and "endless sky" (AxK - composed by Yuki) [part 00:22- 00:56] http://canta-per-me.net/lyrics/endlesssky . In the first the notes seem just a little longer, and its of course faster.
