I just remembered that track #18 of .hack OST 1 "silent life" has some vocals at the beginning. It sounds like a kid so I wonder if its a child actor or a sample, and what language is it ? :confu:

makes me wonder the same with the "male chorus" on "Song without words"... and "interval"
but seems the male chorus on the "Song without words" looks like a sample from the software she uses... because the same "male chorus" I heard from a bgm on Fushigi Yuugi (forgot what ep that is)

Definitely a sample, and it sounds like Italian to me.

Interesting, you say it's a sample? I recall a piece in the score to "The Interpreter" by James Newton Howard which has a similar sounding vocal, I thought it was just coincidence but wondering if both could have sampled it from the same source. :confu:

You want to hear something crazy? The vocals from "silent life" were ripped off and used in a song on the album "Eternity" by a new age band called Mythos. The song is called "Paradise" -->

You can hear the vocals begin at 00:28 and 01:36. It's only a snippit from "silent life." So very very very sneaky.

It's ironic, because I only was interested in listening to Mythos because Yuki Kajiura's .hack//SIGN CDs got me interested in New Age stuff a little bit.

I discovered this a long time ago, like back in 2007. Yuki Kajiura had a link to her attorney's email on her website back then (maybe still does?) so I emailed him several times with the words "COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!" in the heading of the emails in caps, but I never heard back about it. I guess when you're a genius like Kajiura, inevitably a bunch of jerkwads are gonna be ripping your stuff off. Sucks. But at least the Mythos band never got anywhere. The imitation crab will never replace the crab herself.

But now that I've written this post I'm going to post a review about it on amazon.com for this album.

Dont jump to conclusions, we say these vocals are sampled, which means that every composer can use them as long as he/she has the CD that contains those samples.

also the vocals on that paradise track sound different to me in those secs you specified.
