I figured I'd pop my head in here and say hello. I'm Mistress of the Obvious. I scan stuff. I have most of the FictionJunction Club newsletters and some other pamphlets on my tumblr as well as upload copies on vk's biggest Yuki Kajiura group. I'm the strange one who uploads stuff and writes in English with the Sengoku Majin Goshogun anime avatar.


Sadly, I'm having problems with the spam filter at the moment. Most likely because I haven't posted anything, I'm being flagged when I just want to respond to requests with links to stuff I have.


Anyway, I also tinker around with Photoshop. Sometime recreating the pamphlets that were large and had to be scanned multiple times, other times providing English editions of parts of newsletters people want to translate. My Japanese skills are abysmal for the time being, but I do my best to provide what I can.


I'm a fan of Yuki Kajiura's work going back to Mai Hime when it originally aired. I saw the FictionJunction live performance of "Mezame" not long after the DVD was released on Youtube. So I go pretty far back.


I'm not that great with introductions. I never quite know what to say.
 
Interesting. I'm actually not a member of FJC. I buy all of mine second hand off online and use a proxy service. Still, I'm just missing 1-5. I suppose I'm a bit odd that way. With the FJC premium content, I'm missing those as well as FictionJunction Press 2. I've started off with the rarer stuff mostly and then work my way down.


How often have you gone to Japan? I would love to go myself.

I should really get around to picking up the FJC pamphlets, they seem pretty cool.
 
That is impressive, Kugayama! Also not too bad if you have 13 FictionJunction Club Newsletters. There are currently 31.

Hey Seasonreaper, it's been a little while. I know you! Figured I'd come over here too. It's understandable that the newsletters a bit lower in priority for you in part because I've already scanned a good chunk of them. Pamphlets already scanned are lower in priority for me unless the scans have been done poorly or heavily Photoshopped to alter the images (the infamous longer skirts).

Yay, you're here! Welcome to the forum! I actually didn't notice those heavily altered scans at first sight lol. So thank you always for providing those wonderful scans :)
 
Welcome to CPM! I'm very grateful for all those scans which you uploaded to our community in VK.
It's really hard work that requires patience (I know it from my own experience).

Welcome!! Maybe its because of the thread title lol (scanner could imply that you are selling scanner machinese and thus you are bot) XD)

I havent really been outside of here and the official sites, so i didnt know about you, but i looked at your blog, link to which "aki posted, and its seems pretty awesome to be translating the scans like that !Sure give the vibe and feelings of the FJC member when one read like that :)

P.S: Few times there are few dramas/disagreements, please try to not mind them ^^;
