Those of us who were at the Paris Expo last month may have bumped into her near the Wakanim stand, or singing outside on the last day. At the time I just thought she was one of those poor kids who's an idol industry also-ran and sadly won't enjoy any sort of 'real' popularity...until I heard a clip of one of her songs this afternoon:

I know most pop stuff these days is autotuned and processed so much that it's impossible to spot genuine talent unless you're listening to a live show, but I was pleasantly surprised by this. She put on a 'kawaii' high-pitched voice when talking to people, but I can only assume it's an act because her singing voice has quite a an amount of range. I'm genuinely surprised: this song isn't bad! What do the rest of you think?
