RaveD's Own Compositions [update: 2010-03-29]

Was working on something new. Only have the arrangement so far, it still needs vocals and such...

It appears to be damaged at 0:30, so I'm gonna have to re-record it. Anywho, here is the composition:

Calm Before The Storm

Yeah, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Either I write and sing lyrics myself, or I will let someone else go creative on the arrangement. I don't know yet.

Wow, that's so nice! I was surprised to see that title here, because I am working on a track called "Calm Before The Storm" too. Mine is a different interpretation of that title though. And it doesn't sound nearly as professional... :uh..:

Thank you bunches, that is a very nice thing to say. I can't wait to hear your own composition, make sure to post it on the CPM board, okay?

Okay, my older originals ^^

The original version of The Day You Were Born (older, shorter version) can be found in Kerahna's flash animation, open with the key 2357.

The newer and much longer version of The Day You Were Born (new version) can be found here.

Another original, called Dismissed, can be found here.

Okay, I've re-recorded and re-uploaded Calm Before The Storm.

Also, I created its sequel, simply called The Storm.

These are two tracks that should be enjoyed together as a while. For that reason I've uploaded them both as individual tracks and as one long track (over 10 minutes long!)

Heyy, what happened to all your stuff in here. i could only listen to Aftermath (which i find surreally hopeful. very very beautiful) and i wants more. Would Aftermath by any chance be the sequel to The Storm? xD

I just deleted some of the songs from YouTube. Calm Before The Storm, The Storm and The Motions will all have vocals and lyrics. When these are finished, I will re-upload the songs.

It is not because I did not like them anymore, I deleted everything from YouTube that wasn't "final." This included the Kajiura Yuki covers that will have vocals later, such as Kaze no Machi he and Michiyuki, which both had a lot of views and positive comments. The final versions will be uploaded when the album is finished.

Since I have no singer scheduled for Aftermath, this one was still online.

I also recorded a new original called Passionata, which is in a cross-over genre of Flamenco and Rebetiko. Unfortunately my recording equipment has gone haywire and the audio came out really damaged, but I finally tracked down the problem and will see to it that I get it fixed.

Ah, it sounds so promising - I'm really looking forward to hear more once the album is finished :3

Re: Re:

Oh crap, I just noticed the link went to the wrong song :XD:
I fixed it now.

για λε-λέλι [Ya leh-leli]

hmm... how did you desided to put that title ? its a really rare phrase

If the link had been correct, you could have read this:
RaveD in the video description said:
This song is heavily influenced by the Greek rebetiko genre and Blues (in particular the Peter Gunn Theme).
The title is Arabic and comes from the lyrics of the Greek folk song Misirlou: αχ, για λε-λέλι, αχ [ah, my night, ah].
