Nope... Progressive of Kalafina isn't progressive rock at all.
in fact, Yuki herself said this.

The only connection between PROGRESSIVE and progressive rock is the word 'progressive' :uh..:

Progressive rock(or metal ) is a totally different genre of music :XD:

Closer analysis to the song itself will reveal that there is just a lot of ambience and rock sounds to be ever called rock.

I believe that the title "Progressive" was based on the shift of scale from C minor to D minor in the Chorus.
THen Accompanied by another shift of scale from D minor to E minor before going to C minor.

THat is what you call progression

It might be rock, but not progressive rock.

No. The title Progressive is used as the meaning that Kalafina moves forward as a group, that they are going to sing more.

I believe that the title "Progressive" is based on what Yuki says it was based on, not someone's best guess.

Agreed. Also,i have listened to this music growing up,progressive metal/rock etc so i am quite sure this is not similar at all. There is a ''symphonic metal let's call it beacuse last.fm users are weird with their tags'' intro and some riffs but that's it.

But I do not Understand why nobody seems to like this music at all. :uh..:

And I don't understand why you came back abruptly after your dramatic exit and pretend as if nothing happened. o3o

For me, because the song is uninspiring (thanks to Winterviolet for the word). The song doesn't sound like Kalafina at all (although Yuki said that herself already). Everything sounds very cliched.
I don'd mint he song if it was for FictionJunction. It just doesn't fit the image of kalafina.
