Wanna share a song I made for an upcoming film project. I think Kajiura influenced me so much in my music while trying to retain also my own style in music. But I wanna share this demo music I made since I was tasked to make dark songs for this project and my inner Kajiura was unleashed 😆
Hope you will like this simple song. Full version will be released this October 😊

Nice. You said you were tasked with making dark songs. So you're recording a song for a horror movie?

The soft soprano voice sounds really nice on the darker piano at the beginning.

I hear some Kajiura elements, but there seem to be other things included. The beginning really gave a Halloween/Symphonic metal vibe (if a distorted electric guitar were to come in) which is not Kajiuran per se. So it's a mix of things.

Maybe you can look at some heavy choir chant for one of the songs, but you'll need a bunch of classical-style vocalists for that (including males).

0:34 The suddenness of the drums coming in gave me a bit of a jump scare the first time I heard it (my volume was loud in my headphones). 😁

2:03 I really liked the switch over to the piano from the massive strings/band combo right from the beginning. I know the keys are still there throughout, but still always good to hear a special space for them.

Thanks for sharing your project!

(P.S.: I think about how it would be to create a keys-only dramatic conflict music, with minimal if anything else, and the kind of vocal that would go with it. Probably feels more operatic/classical in my head. Anyway, that was just a sidenote.)

There is supposed to be a choir singing in our recorded versions but I decided that they can just do it in the their live performances 😂
