There will apparently also be vocals for some songs like Sis Puella Magica and Credens Justitiam. Emphasis on no Kalafina and ClariS. Site mentions that they're looking for applicants (female over 18, Soprano and Alto). So no FJ either. Unless they go audition for it.

Why October... Orz. I'd definitely go if it was in December
Pray for a DVD/BD release! From what I read on 2ch, apparently there were plans to release a CD for the earlier fan concert but had to be scrapped (no reason given). So maybe they weren't allowed to release since it was just a fan concert but for an official event... ...

That reminds me, how did the other Madoka orchestra concert go (the one reported earlier this year)?

I don't recall seeing updates on that... :uh..:
 
I only read some 2channlers' thoughts, not blogs.
They loved it and could really feel the love the performers had for the series/music. It's a performer funded event so only those who really love the series and its music performed. Apparently there were even overseas performers that flew to Japan to take part. That feeling of being so moved by that performance was enough for them to attempt to release a live CD. But since they were not an official event, they probably could not do so and those plans were scrapped. I have no idea how true that is. I could not find sources, and this is 2ch we're talking about so take it with lots of salt.

Since the conductor for that event and this one is the same, and it is now an official event that has 3 shows planned right from the start, you can probably conclude that it was a raving success and that the fan event was what lead to this one. One has to wonder why they're doing vocal auditions though. 2ch wanted Tokyo Konsei or the Suginami Junior Choir.

Hello chris :hi: Yes, it has indeed been a while...

I was so busy with military and so exhausted on the weekends (if they gave us the leave in the first place) that I didn't even have the energy and desire to write some comments... :uh..: Sorry about that!
Lord, it was a pain in the ass! :blood:
Anyway, now that it's over I'm enjoying my merry little civil live more than ever before! :wash: In the end this (besides cameraderie) was probably the most positive aspect of this whole experience. (And they failed forcing me to become seargent :V: )

Of course Kajiura-sama's music was my constant friend and companion so there was no way I'd be not alright in the end! :sparkleguy:
And now (after a well-deserved trip to France) I'm back wasting my time with you guys who love the same music as I do! :dote:

As numerous as the concerts are, I'll miss all of them since I'll only be in Japan on the 24th. Orz
From the look of things, it's probably doing quite well if there's so many.

Not sure if posted and no idea where it is from. It seems to be an unofficial performance since it doesn't seem related to the official concert, and it's a Mandolin Orchestra. Oh well. Next best thing until the day we get an official DVD/BD release.

wow that's awesome! I was under the impression that mandolin was used only in Greece :XD:

My only complain is that the did the whole Connect but only TV size magia :(

Wow, that is good. My favorite parts were Salvae and Venari (especially in the beginning of Venari since it was kind of funny with only a couple of mandolins playing at once) Thanks for sharing this. Yeah they could have done the full Magia, and maybe they did and it just got cut off or something. Hmm. Anyways, it is good. :dote:
