Hi everyone! I'm not good at introducing myself plus my english is not that great (not at all) so it'll be brief.

I'm Alessandro, from Italy, but you can call me Ale for short. Or just call me Kohaku, as you like ;)
After ages (just two years, actually xD) passed reading discussions and news on this forum I've finally decided to enter this wonderful community.

I'll be honest. I'm rather ignorant when it comes to Kajiura-sama's works. Or better, I don't know much about her music except for Kalafina and FJ. I'll fix it, I swear xD

As you could understand I'm a HUGE (*whispers* obsessed) Kalafina fan. I started my amazing journey through their music about two years ago. After watching Madoka Magica I was really fascinated by Magia (at that time I thought that Kalafina was a solo artist, poor me xD) and so I began looking for Kalafina's songs and lives as I wanted to know more about them. As time passed by I started to listen to them more often and after listening to Oblivious' live ten times in a row crying like a baby I finally understood that a new love was born. I wondered myself what I've been listening to until that moment. Their voices made me feel something new, something I've never felt before towards music. They literally changed me. That's why I love them from the bottom of my heart.

Then, I enjoy a lot listening to FJ too. I think they're truly amazing and talented but I'm not an hardcore fan of them though I appreciate them a lot.

Well, that was not brief at all xD

Welcome to the forums, Ale/Kohaku! :hi:

Hehe, I feel exactly the same as you - after falling in love with Kajiura, all the old music I used to like suddenly seemed to pale in comparison :XD:

As for OST works, if you like Kalafina a lot, if you haven't listened to it already perhaps you could try out the Kara no Kyoukai OST. Kalafina was originally for the sole purpose of singing the themes to that series, after all. I think it's also a favourite of many fans and considered one of her better, if not best, works by many? (At least, that's the impression I get XD)

Hope you enjoy your time here, let's share the love around :sohappy:

Welcome Alessandro / Kohaku_! I hope that you can see Kalafina and Yuki Kajiura and her singers and musicians live sometime soon... the Yuki Kajiura live events are probably best for that as are any FictionJunction Club member-only live events.

Feel free to ask any questions about Yuki Kajiura / FictionJunction / Kalafina and their music, singers and musicians here, lots of us would love to help you learn about them!

In my case it was Kajiura's music that opened my ears to listen to other genres of music, at that time I was only listening to game music and some classical pieces :XD:

Indeed its one of her best, but if one doesnt watch the movies will easily get bored by the SFX tracks, trademark of the KnK osts, so I suggest Kohaku to listen to the Tsubasa Chronicle and Madlax OSTs too, they are the ones where in my opinion every single track is masterpiece :)

Hi, Alessandro / Kohaku, nice to meet you! :sohappy:
