Well here is a video from one of my favorite youtubers talking about anime, manga, cosplay, and etc becoming illegal for copy right. It made me upset and I know I shouldn't worry and everything but I felt the urge that I needed to share this with you guys you know? so please watch the link of The Anime Man below and tell me what you think about it. The thread title is misleading. It's got nothing to do with "original works" from what he's saying. The issue he's talking about sucks (I did not bother looking at the wikileaks articles) but this is still a misleading thread. :p

well i have edited the title but still the anime community could be in danger from what it seems that is my whole point through this.

It's certainly inflammatory, but I wouldn't underestimate the perils of built into the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The copyright provisions built in (with leadership from the US and its corporate sponsors) are sufficiently odious that Japanese citizens have banded together and sued their own government, alleging that the TPP violates theJapanese constitution.

We have to understand that many of the joys we derive from subject works are considered bad for business - what's good for business is what continues to generate income. Copyright has been turned from a tool for individual creators to benefit from their works into a money-sucking tool in the hands of corporations.
