I've always wondered what was the correct kanji & meaning for keiko & wakana.

my japanese name, chinami, for example, can be written as 千波 or 千奈美 . two different meanings, but the kanji i use is the first one, not the second.

wakana's kanji on wiki & this site is 若菜 (meaning young herbs lol), which is kinda weird for a girl's name...but it can also be written as 和奏 or 和佳奈 . the first one ( 和奏 ) means harmonious music, which makes sense if her parents were of a musical background. the second one ( 和佳奈 ) means beautiful harmony, which also makes sense with a musical background. this kind of peaked my interest as to how she actually writes her name.

keiko's name on this site & wiki is written as 啓子 (meaning open child), but can be also written as 恵子 which means blessed child or 敬子 which means respectful child. this also makes me wonder as to how she writes her name.

thoughts anyone?

oh that is interesting!, but Imo they write their names the way wiki and official sites have them, otherwise people wouldnt recognize them :XD:

I've never actually seen an official site that has their actual full names. all i see is "WAKAKA" or "KEIKO". i don't ever trust wiki lol anyone can write & edit on there. :XD: maybe if i actually took the time to read the record, they might have it on there :ayashii: that gives me motivation to read it hahaha

edit: if someone actually has a link to where an official site has their full names, can you be so kind as to share with me, please? :innocent: :sohappy:

i mean, there has to be some offcial site, right? ...somewhere hidden deep inside the internet :XD:

i searched in english & in japanese, and all i get are communities and wiki that have their names..which aren't reliable sources

hi Jasmin. I remember i read somewhere on the Internet about name meanings, I came across baby's names. The name Keiko does mean "blessed child" or "child", but that's just a website for Japanese names and meanings. :]

^ oh, really? well there are many, many kanji for "keiko". those two are just ones i know because of friends whose names are keiko. i'm not asking for meanings, i'm just asking if someone knows an official site where they show their actual names because i'm just curious as to how they write them.

on a side note, i read most of the solo interviews & i have yet to come across any full names for the girls haha :XD: i would think that since it's their own book, it would have their names other than "WAKANA" or "KEIKO" lol

afaik, Wakana has always been using only "WAKANA" as her stage name :XD:

and Keiko's name (whether it's only stage name or real name as well) is indeed 窪田啓子 :XD:

well, keiko's is solved. thanks for that yuki! is there any references we can trust?

hopefully we can find out wakana's soon, too

idk if i can trust that, tsuba :XD:

@murrue: they aren't anywhere on the record...weird, right? everyone has their name written in kanji besides the girls. -___- lol

@tsuba: yess! we shall ask. that's a great idea! :sohappy:

@nick: haha thanks :shy:
