Hello all!

Equipment used:

Blue Yeti USB Microphone
Audacity
Adobe Audition 3.0 sound editing software
Izotope Ozone 5 Mastering plugin
Izotope Nectar Vocal Mastering plugin

Your voice is great!!! I had to subscribe to you on YouTube so I could hear more!

Random question.. about how much did the mic cost you?? I'm working on a new recording setup and a new mic will help quite a bit

Well, Amazon is selling the Blue Yeti USB Mic for $120 US dollars.

I like that it lets me plug in headphones to hear myself sing, and also lets me hear whatever I play on the computer, like the karaoke tracks. I also recommend getting a good set of head phones. Mine is this one.

The real magic though is the software I listed in the above post.

I would use Adobe Audition to get rid of background noises, using the noise reduction function, then use the Vocal Limit in the Dynamic Processing function.

After that I use the two Mastering Plugins Nectar and Ozone 5 to master the vocals and add effects. The reverb and effects are different depending on the song and which layer of vocal harmony I am dealing with.

And then I edit it all together on Adobe Audition. Sprinter in particular had alot of vocal layers, the most I have ever worked on. I was seeing stars by the time I was close to finish. I mean, look at this insanity:

Pretty crazy huh? Kalafina songs are tough, so I do them sparingly haha.

I'm gonna upload Sprinter to Youtube next week, technically the users on this forum are the first to hear it. :)

If you ever got any questions, feel free to PM or email me. Or through Youtube as well.

Thanks for listening and the feedback! I really appreciate it!

Oh, a final note, the most expensive equipment is actually the software and plugins. Audition was around $300 USD when I got it way back and the mastering plugins can be around $250 for each.
