It's interesting to see that they are also making covers of the soundtrack per se, rather than just covering Magia. But yeah, it was kinda bad. As you said, the vocal in Magia wasn't really bad but some parts were, like the Wakana back from the chorus.

My impressions follow:

Okay, Credens Justitiam. Well, I can't hear the violin...all I hear is e. guitar, bass, vocal...and oh, did I mention THE DRUMS?

What's with the freaky dancing in the back? It's just distracting from the performance

Hmm. They either need better vocalists or monitors. Both the high and low are completely off

Why is the keyboard playing the exact same melody as the violin on Sis Puella Magica? At least the guy could try to do some harmony or something. The violin's not bad...slightly flat, but he seems to be trying his best. Oh, here's THE DRUMS again.

Hmm, the vocals on Magia aren't that bad. I think the girl in the Mami costume is the weakest singer, because the other two sound okay on their own. Maybe she's got the most sensitive ears...I think I'd have a hard time of it myself with THE DRUMS directly behind me

Enough of the cymbals already! They do nothing for the song! And plus he's barely in time!!

Can't hear the guitar solo at all

Ah, as soon as THE DRUMS are quiet, they sing much better. I see

Well, it's not bad. The drummer seemed to be having a good time, but he ruins Magia with his lack of tempo and those cymbals

Everything sounded horrid! Bad singing, bad playing and freaky voice acting!



The violin especially reminded me of someone killing a chicken! Are the whole lot of them tone deaf or something? And yes, stupid drummer and his rubbish cymbals (I've never heard anyone use more cymbals than this performance! Not even at a lion or dragon dance performance at Chinese New Year!)

Oh yes, there is definitely a way to improve this rubbish. In fact, there is only ONE way: and that's for them to stop performing, ever! Who knows, it might even help reduce carbon emissions and prevent global warming.

Take it away and I don't ever want to see it again!

You're right

I think the violin player needs a little more practice before he performs music like that. He's solid and in tune, but he isn't good enough to put much emotion into his playing yet...I think he's concentrating on actually playing properly

At the same time that I agree with you that the Kalafina dance was ridiculous, I can see why they did it. After all, the strings solo + the guitar solo is quite long, and once in the stage, you have to do SOMETHING in this part lol It was not synchronized and not well executed, but well, I can relate to them as to why they did it.
