^ lol that's even worse that the knk collection :uh..:

Hi all!
First time poster here.

Really enjoy Yuki Kajiura works and had a question regarding to both the Madoka Magica and Kara no Kyoukai collections.

Recently I was debating whether or not to get the limited edition for Madoka since it comes with the soundtracks, but that's a pretty hefty bill just for the soundtracks, until I stumbled across the Madoka Magica MUSIC COLLECTION thread. I was wondering are all the songs from the 3 CDs of the limited editions in this music collection CDs?

Is this the same as the 7 CDs from the KnK limited edition?

Doesn't seem like Fate/Zero or Sword Art has a collection yet, right?

Finally which store do you recommend getting these CDs from?

Really awesome to see that there are other Yuki Kajiura fans out there!
Thanks all! =)

Seems like it. It says 44 tracks in total, and the 3 discs from the blu rays had 38.

By "this" do you mean the the 3 soundtracks from the blu rays? If so, then yes.

Nope. I doubt they'll make one for F/Z, unless Kajiura scores the music for Ufotable's next Fate project, and then they make a Fate/Kajiura collection.
As for SAO, it's possible, but most likely until they're done with the anime.

I've always used CDJapan and never had a problem.

We still don't have the full tracklisting for Madoka Music Collection but it does seem like they'll port all the BGMs from the Bluray soundtracks, like Kowz said.

Kara no Kyoukai/the garden of sinners Music Collection was a medley compilation, not a collection of all tracks from the DVD soundtracks.

@Kowz: Why do you say unlikely for Fate but likely for SAO? They are the exact same case - 2 full soundtracks bundled with Blurays.

^ maybe because SAO's osts came with the BD/DVDs (like Madoka's) while Fate/Zero's along with the BD boxes. They still have left out a number of tracks on both though, so I think its likely for both, that is if they decide to continue animating SAO with Yuki as composer.

Eh, I guess it's just a hunch. Fate/Zero is over, and it already has its 2 blu ray boxes with the soundtracks, so unless they release a special box that includes the full series, I don't see them releasing a music collection.

With SAO is different because it's supposedly getting a second season.

But again, it's just a hunch.

How many tracks were missing from the F/Z soundtrack? I only remember Caster's theme.

^ there was also some guitar bgm when Rider was trying out his new T-shirt, the manten epic arrangement when rider was gathering his army before he classes with gilgamesh, the vocal version of "rule the battlefield", a bgm from the drama CD which had similar melody with one of the after eden songs (nevereding?) and some others.

Thanks Kowz, grunty, and george for responding!

Very informative and helpful.

Interesting how that even with the soundtracks of bluray boxes of F/Z it still contains missing tracks. =(

Grrr, a little frustrating to not have it all in one spot. =P

Has Aniplex released these series for a more affordable price? It doesn't seem like they have released one like that yet.

Wait... I thought SAO had a second season? Since there are already 2 soundtracks, but am I wrong about this? If so I would actually like to be wrong, since I loved the soundtrack so much. But yeah, since Madoka has 3 soundtracks and more Kalafina songs, it is more like to get a collection the same with KnK.

^ Well there are 2 seasons plot-wise but are not episode-wise. since episodes 1-14 covered volumes 1-2 of the novel which cover the first arc which takes place in the Aincrad online world (game SAO), while ep 15-25 volumes 3-4, which takes place in Alfheim online world (game ALO), some people consider it to be 1 season because they were one after another (no gap), and in other animes, 25 eps are considered 1 season.

I very much want the next 2 volumes to get animated since its where it starts getting interesting, and I am curious as to what kind of music Yuki will make, since it has some common elements with ahem pew pew (girls with guns). I hope it get announced after the recap, otherwise what;s the point in making it in the first place? :XD:

It's the gun MMO, right? I'd say techno and electronica would fit nicely.
