Hmm...I do not wish to get into any sort of quarrel or come across as being too harsh. :blood:

So...how honest do you want my answer to be? :ayashii: :knife:

Yeah...

Sure...

I don't care if it's harsh...

As long as it's good for me, I don't really care if it's too harsh...

Personally, I thought your Lacrimosa cover was slightly better of the three. I think it may have likely been because you had the benefit of the minus one midi track to help guide you along.

The reason why I didn't like the acapella was that you had yet to master the technicalities of singing yet before taking on such a huge challenge. One of the most fundamental mistakes I've spotted was that you went severely off-key on many occasions.

Also, vocal prowess was seemingly forced. Which should not be the case when singing. If you can, try to sing (and breathe more) with your diaphragm rather than your throat. Don't be too caught up with other issues like diction yet. Focus more on the the basics on getting a key that suits you first. And then learn to project and breathe using your diaphragm to sing. Only then, you worry about diction and technicalities of the words. And musical expression after that.

Also don't get too worried if you find that if you end up singing very loudly when you are projecting your voice. It's very common and you should try to get used to it also. Again, don't restrain anything and learn to control it only later.

Another thing to note. Singing posture. When starting out, try to keep your back straight. That means if you're sitting in a chair or on a bench, do not take more than half a seat. If you're standing, stand straight (make sure your back has that natural "s" shape) and keep your chin up (to keep your airway clear, also to have that image of more confidence).

Try to practice with the minus one first and, if possible, record them so you can playback and analyse where you've gone off. When playing back, try to put them on headphones (two major benefits: one, you and ONLY you, know your mistakes. Two, they offer a lot more detail when listening in - regardless of how "crappy" they are.)

That should help you improve for your next performance.

There's no use in telling her to breathe with the diaphragm. Even if it is something considered basic, everyone still needs some kind of orientation when learning that.

Good point...

Or maybe she should enrol in a music school? :XD: :XD: :XD:

I really want to enrol in music school...

:XD:

But with many problem, I can't...

:uh..:

(Well... I think my family don't really support me to get seriously in music)

So, because of that condition, I try to study with looking in internet or asking someone who already knows better, but still, it's hard...

:uh..:

Btw,

Thanks for your critics Special-K-san & KPX-san!

No worries! Take your time!

If you're still in school, go and make friends with someone who is trained in music to guide you along!

Just make sure you take good care of your vocals and not damage them!

Tsukishiro-san, I know that I shouldn't meddle myself into your personal life, but if you really like to sing, try to specialize into it, even if it is by talking with others and merely training. I say this because, if you like to sing but give up about it now, someday you'll probably regret it and become a frustrated person (I know I'll become like this :XD: ). So, continue singing so you won't regret it in the future ^^
