Besides Kalafina, I am also a big fan of this young lady's music work. Because she plays the cello and sings at the same time. Not only that, but her gothic like songs are very addicting and her voice is something that makes you want to keep on listening to her. Some of you may not know her or her music, but I welcome you to listen to some of her songs and post what you think about her.

Her cello skills are on top of the roof and has blown my socks away! You don't have to listen to all of them, I just listed a few that I like and you just click the one that interests you.

I'm fond of how there's a lot of strings in her music, like Kajiura's works.
Her voice is very beautiful as well as her cello playing. I'm envious. :XD:
 
Ah, Kanon Wakeshima. I wouldn't have heard her beautiful cello playing if it wasn't for all the Vampire Knight episodes I half-watched out of boredom.

I like her classical-electro music best. But seriously, when is she gonna actually come up with something new? She was supposed to have another single out months ago.
 
Her aesthetical appearance is what struck me most of Kanon Wakeshima.

BTW, I wan't to research about the history of Gothic culture.
Not really a school research but I am very interested in Gothic style.

"Vampire Knight" based on a famous shoujo manga.
So far I have heard only the EDs from that anime (never got to watch itself yet, I'm just hunting for attractive OST music from time to time), but they are very imprerssive. I like her singing style and playing technique, and her producer is also one skilled song-maker. :dote:
 
i watched both seasons but :uh..: :uh..: :uh..: skipped the endings always because i was too eager to see the next episode

shes so pretty :XD: i like the mood in the songs
 
Wow! I am impressed! :sohappy: :sohappy: I have never heard Kanon Wakeshima's songs before but these samples are so just so good (nice and catchy melodies) the cello sounds really well played. :dote:
 
I only remember watching the first season of VK and then I got bored and stopped watching the second season. Zero was my favorite. : )

yar the story kinda boring...the season 2 more worst...more boring then season 1...but season 2 got a nice ending :XD:
 
i've only heard still doll and suna no oshiro so far, but i plan to listen to her album soon. looking forward to lots of cello :dote:

Despite liking the two singles (and their bsides), I thought her album was pretty dull.
 
I like the cello,but i can't say the same about the vocals or the song style.. :cry:
But her cello is beautiful :plot:

Unfortunately i watched both VK seasons... :XD:
 
I totally agree the album was absolutely a borefest. There was probably 3 songs that I liked. I preordered it ful of excitement but I was utterly disappointed :uh..:

I wanted to see her in Baltimore but I was completely broke after Anime Boston...plus it was worth seeing 3 amazing girls instead of just one :shy:

I'm still waiting for her to release something....its been a year and a few months right? Or two?

She better be awesome when she comes back...or else she'll join my shit list like Nami Tamaki and alan :ohoho:
 
I love kanon! I like most of her songs theres one I really don't like tho..the one with the bubbles... I didn't even bother to remember the name xD
