Right now this is just a weird idea in my head but I REALLY want to see this concert but I have absolutely no idea how to get tickets. Not even sure I can afford something like this but I'd like to get all my facts together so I can see if it's even POSSIBLE :XD:
Skimmed through the 2012 X'Mas Strings Concert thread but there was nothing much to find there. Apparently there is a lottery for fjc members, I am not a member though, so this one won't work for me.
Can you buy the tickets online? Do you need to live in Japan to do that? How much does a ticket approximately cost?
I'd be grateful for any kind of info you can give me! :-)

^ You probably need a friend or travel agent in Japan to arrange fan club membership for yourself (I have no idea what the cut-off date for membership would be for these concerts but it could be very soon).

The friend or travel agent would then place a bid under your name and if successful there would be a few days to confirm the bid with payment.

I'm not sure of the venue sizes compared with how many people would want to see Kalafina with strings (Nimsaj did last year), but if the concert is not fully subscribed with members it would go out to general bidding, which again is a lot easier for someone in Japan.

My travel agent in Australia uses this Japanese travel agent who have been happy to do fan club memberships and ticket bidding for me (aside from one that required bidding to be done over mobile phone and one that required Paypal membership): http://www.idtours.co.jp/

Christ!! :uh..: :uh..: :uh..:
Why so complicated??????
WOW, such an amazing and friendly travel agent!!

Is there a thread that explains fjc membership in detail? Would like to get some infos. Pros and cons of being a member.

The general bidding is open to pretty much anyone, right? I do use paypal so that would be a possibility...
Do you need to do the bidding in person, like go to a certain place and enter your bid?

The details are at http://www.spacecraft.co.jp/fjc/news.html

The cost is 4000 yen per year plus 500 yen joining fee. This gets you access to early ticket bids, fan-club-only merchandise and newsletters.

If you are fluent in Japanese or have a friend over in Japan you could probably register and pay yourself using either a friend's postal address and telephone number or a paper mail forwarding service.

Using the travel agent was a lot easier for me - they add a commission on the fees and keep the newsletters until my next visit and have bid for tickets when I requested them. Most of the time I have just purchased fan-club-only merchandise at live events rather than asking the travel agent.

Maybe someone else who has obtained FJC membership themselves could also help answer your questions.

PS, for non-fanclub-only events, you could probably also get tickets using Yahoo auctions Japan and an intermediary service like fromjapan.co.jp but that can be expensive and the tickets will often have someone else's name on them so you are risking not being admitted. For the FictionJunction CLUB LIVE at Zepp Tokyo, my ticket, fanclub membership card and passport were checked.

Phew!!!
Thanks so much for the detailed info!!!

Membership isn't too expensive, I am actually sursprised, but this whole bidding deal is WAY too uncertain for my taste. *sighs*
I could probably get a friend of mine to bid for me and my Japanese is decent enough but it kinda scares me to rely on something as unsure as bidding :uh..: :uh..:

I am sure it pays off to have a fjc membership if you visit Japan on a more or less regular basis but sadly, that's not an option for me

Will ask around if others have had experience with fjc membership and premium concerts.

^ The bidding is usually a fair time in advance and announced in advance (e.g. "there will be bidding from this time on this date to that time on that date"). If the organisers didn't have bidding, there would be more problems with people having to get tickets at just the right time, and more problems with ticket scalping.

i am so confused....i have never bid on a ticket & i have a fjc membership. all i did while i was in japan was purchase my ticket from lawson on the sale date or if i won the lottery, purchase it from lawson before the sale date.

p.s, experiencing a kalafina xmas concert is amazing. if anyone is thinking of going, then go! it is so beautiful :shy:

^ by "bid" I mean enter my name for the lottery.

Kalafina at Otodama Sea Studio on 26 August required bidding via mobile phone, so fortunately my friend in Odawara was able to do that in my name.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I wasn't a FJC member (yet. I am now) but managed to get a friend in Japan to simply buy tickets online - with no lottery involved. This was for one of the Consolation "hall" lives, specifically the one in Osaka (I got the tickets). I don't know about the situation with the other lives, so this might not apply, though.

Sorry for double posting.

Loving the setlist except from 03-06. And I love how they performed seventh heaven, snow falling, and Alleluia by sequence. Although after that sprinter came along, lol.

And Yane seems to be a "strings-concert special only" for my sadness. I really love that song.

I demand a release of this concert. al fine actually sang live me want.

Christmas song#2 is Oh Christmas tree.
#3 is Have yourself a merry little Christmas.

Their white dress like bridal dress :nosebleed:
They all sound great and the string arrangements were great.
