I need some opinions please!

The other day Koichi-san posted this picture.

Some research eventually showed that the other guy is Komoguchi Yuya, a 23-year-old guitarist. Before I found this out, I had no idea who he was, and a friend and I speculated that he could be Koichi-san's son. Even though I know who he is now, I still think that he looks a little like Koichi-san.

Anyway, I'd love to hear everyone else's opinion on Komoguchi-san...could he possibly be related to Koichi-san? Maybe he actually IS his son, and he changed his name in order to make it on his own? Farfetched, I know :XD:

Or...am I completely delusional? :psst:

well, if this Komoguchi Yuya isn't Koichi's son, Yuya still could be Koichi's nephew. Or maybe Yuya is a guitar-student of Koichi-san?

Koichi-san's 49. He was born on December 25, 1961.

You have a point...he could be a nephew. But as far as I've read about Yuya-san, he has never really worked with Koichi-san. Actually he seems to release solo albums, instead of working as a session musician as Koichi-san does.

I don't know...a very younger brother, perhaps. Koichi-san's father is 74, I think, and his mother already passed away, so maybe his father remarried? I don't know if that's a common thing in Japan. But it doesn't really explain the different last names, unless Yuya-san changed his last name for some reason.

Actually that's why I was wondering about Koichi-san and Yuya-san! Yuya-san looks a little more Western than most other Japanese guys I've seen, with slightly different eyes. So I was thinking that maybe he was half-American or something... :ayashii:

I was planning to ask Koichi-san if Yuya-san's related to him...sound like a good idea?

Okay, I guess I should forget about this, because Murrue02 tweeted Koichi-san and he says that he doesn't have any kids.

Murrue, why didn't you tell us you were going to ask him? :XD:
 
"Konno-san, you're a great violinist and I love your playing. But more importantly, I'd like to know: do you have any kids?"

I'm glad the matter's cleared up now, but I imagine this sort of question would be funny to receive. :XD:
 
^ I know...that's why I didn't have the courage to ask Koichi-san myself. I didn't want to insult him or anything. But I'm glad Murrue took care of it. :V:

But I feel kinda bad...no kids for Koichi-san to teach guitar to... :plz:

:XD: i wasn't really planning doing it behind your back. i was just not sure if he's going to answer but we talked much a while ago i just read his reply.good thing he already clarified things.
