I HATE FIREFOX

it's so damn slow :twitch: :twitch: :twitch: :twitch:
when i type in one letter, i see it in 5 seconds :twitch:
scrolling is almost impossible, the onions moves in slow-motion
and it takes 106%cpu :twitch:

it feels like windows :twitch:
 
Firefox is ok in my PC. The scroll speed and the onion animation is fine and if the letters are slow to appear its probably because your cpu is busy by other programs like antivirus. Its not firefox's problem.
 
antivirus? on a mac? XD

i restarted firefox 5 times and now it's faster.... and needs ~100%cpu-_-"""""
 
err...doesn't a mac need antivirus? O.o
And yes, your CPU is probably the problem. Get firefox 3, maybe it'll solve this problem. I got a 2.8GHz CPU and 1 GB of ram and it runs perfectly for me.
 
Maybe there are some problems with the mac os x version. it's working just fine here. Its main problem was the memory issue and it was fixed with ff3. Check this out for CPU usage, it may be useful (i've not read it).
 
Deleting the prefetch files did nothing significant for me....every time i click a link/load a new page he mem usage jumps up and stays there. But it doesn;'t affect my PC's overall performance so it doesn't concern me much
 
i tried everything, update/deactivate flash, all add-ons, all other plugins...
and i repaired the rights and resetted the PRAM XD
 
What's a PRAM? O.o

Oh and installing ff3 seems to do the trick. It MASSIVELY lowers down your mem consumption. It saved about 40 000 kb for me.
 
i love firefox 3 the new address bar took a while to get used to but now i dont need to remember the start of the address of a page i've been to before, i just need to type a word that was in the title :XD: <3
 
PRAM = Parameter RAM (PRAM reset is a macuser gag XD)
i have no problems with memory... 380MB unused>.< (380 too much...)
 
Well...there is a downside to ff3...a lot of cool themes don't work with it -__-. and i hate the original. Lucky Aero fox (the dark version) works with it otherwise... O.O grr

I think our little Firefox is poor coded for Multicore Processors.

Fortunatly I don't have any RAM problems :XD:
Still 2GB free right now xD

OK, I don't use Firefox, it's to slow for me on my already slow internet connection :aww:

That's not true... Mi PC is a Core-Duo, I use Firefox and runs pretty well :ayashii:

I just havn't done anything, but now I'm developing some "Hello World" and Calculators on the iPhone, so I just have about 500MB free :XD:
 
FF and OS X is not a good match.... on a mac it's like "Oh.... FF crashed again?".

Stick with opera......
