Hitomi's Lost Friend and Kajiura-sensei's Fake Wings

Hmm, there is a resemblance...it's sort of a like an instrumental version, with the oboe echoing some of the melody. I wonder if she was accidentally inspired by Fake Wings? :ayashii:

This song is still very beautiful, though...
 
The first six notes or so are very similar, but then the song goes a different way. The mood is similar as well, though. I'll go for "inspired", for all I know, the kind of descending pattern used in both melodies might or might not be common in music (I don't have knowledge nor examples to analyze it competently). :ayashii:
 
Even if it was inspired by Fake Wings, her other songs are unique again, so it's fine. :dote:
 
Yes, Lost Friend can be Fake Wings instrumental as well. :psst:
