Not sure what the criteria were for the selection, but an interesting listen all things considered, just to hear the breadth of HS’s lineup again.

Hoping for her day Kaori and Joelle get to sing as individuals on a stage with other artists like this, apart from going as FictionJunction. And Yuriko too.

I don’t know yet. My guess is that it’s just a monthly playlist.

I saw the post on their YouTube channel after watching the ABC medley for the umpteenth time, and just thought I should share it.

Well... this is just how it is in the digital era. Everything is just FictionJunction.
But they've kind of thrown that out years ago. cazador del amor and Yakusoku were adopted under the FJ banner in the Everlasting Songs/elemental albums, and everything else was too. Even Akatsuki no Kuruma~ReTracks was just "FictionJunction" for its release. (Although I think they did use FJY in the Remastered ending credits listing. Sooo... a mess.)

Still listening (not even gotten to the FJ song).

Nami Tamaki's "Shining Star" is a simple yet fun for me. The electronic feel wa a refreshing change.
Less so with Hashimoto Miyuki's "Carameliser x Carameliser"; but I liked the start / verse.

I like the bridge for SUIREN's "Muchubuyo".

Imagine Kajiura writing something that's majorly techno/electronic but with her strong polyphonic / counterpoint singing Kajiurago chorus on an English main lead.

I like the energy of shuri's "Shiranai aishita". It sounds like the kind of song Hikaru could easily have sung with some parts of Shuri's phrasing being something Hikaru would do.

But the range is out of Hikaru's grasp, maybe if she changed the key downstairs to shave off those high notes.

The repeated guitar riff with the drum rhythm reminds me of something from Sawano's music.
