Hi! and help me (going to Tokyo and want to see Kalafina/FJ/Kajiura)

Hi guys!
I've been lurking in this forum for a while now ^^U lately I posted because of Kalafina in Paris (I actually went to see them but missed the meeting since the net at the hotel wasn't very good x.x ).

So, I'm Hikari! many years old! big fan of kalafina since I saw the first movie of Kara no Kyoukai in 2008 (actually it's my fave anime ever xD ), been in love with wakana's voice since I listen to her for the first time, but she sounds even better with keiko :)

And well, I'll be visiting Tokyo from 23rd July to 10th August and I reaaally would like to know if Kalafina or Fiction Junction or even Kajiura-san are going to make any appearence in Tokyo by that time, or if is there going to be an event in some store dedicated to them (I think there's going to be the new single release in 6th august, right? is there a place I should go to have any exclusive merchandise?)

Kalafina will be at Animelo Summer Live 2014 at the end of August which is already sold out except for auction sites. I have attended Animelo Summer Live 2011, 2012 and 2013 and would really like to get there again but don't know if I could afford it.

When I attended the Kalafina live at Otodama Sea Studio in 2013, I had a friend in Japan do the booking for me. Do you have someone who could help you that way? As the venue is general admission, if you turn up before door opening time, you queue in ticket number order for entry.

Good luck too for meeting Kalafina in Japan. That's something I'd like to do since quite a time ago, I used to plan everything once but... but... why didn't I do it, still?
 
Ahhh you are so lucky to even go to Japan! (Would probably consider myself an otaku, or is it fangirl (for girls?) of pretty much all things Japan. I don't think your English is bad. I am in the US, and have heard much worse English. lol Well, welcome to the forums. Can't help much with the concert stuff, Kuga is your best bet there, as he posted stuff already. Enjoy and please report if you do go to the concert! Have a good time here, I am also Liana btw. I saw Kalafina in Boston and Chicago, the second time was with the band (although no Konno, since he is one of my favorite musicians ever.) and started violin because of Yuki's music. Nice to meet you!

omg, thank you so much for gathering all this info :D

but noooo, I wanted to watch kalafina at otodama, but I already have a trip for skytree in that day, and at the same time as kalafina :( well, at least I can hope to find something interesting at stores by 6th august.

No, I'm not Ana (although Ana is a very common name in Portugal xD ) I joined the line for Kalafina at JE at 12:30 expecting it to be small, but no! there were so many people there xD I ended up in a so-so spot, I could see the 3 singers at the same time if I was at the tip of my toes (which I was the whole time xD my poor legs).

Thank you :D I haven't exercised my english lately so I always think it's kind of bad xD But in Japan I guess I'll have to exercise it a lot! (I'll be in a japanese course with students from all around the world).

Welcome to the forum! I hope you have a great trip. Getting tickets for events in Japan is hard unless someone living there can help you - I wanted to see the Boom Boom Satellites when they supported Rize in Tokyo, but it was impossible to buy tickets because I don't have a Japanese address or credit card. In the end we were really lucky that there were still tickets available on the door.

My experience in this sort of thing is limited, but there are sometimes several ticket outlets you can try when you're in Japan. As a last resort, you can see if there are tickets on sale at the venue on the day. Some Lawson convenience stores have machines that sell tickets to live music events, while Family Mart convenience stores may sell tickets too.

The best thing to do is to keep checking the websites run by the promoters...there are people on here who can read Japanese very fluently and I'm sure will help translate any instructions you need. Best of luck!

Don't write off the possibility. Otodama Sea Studio is less than 20 minutes walk from JR Kamakura station, and you can do the journey from Tokyo Skytree station by taking a subway one stop and then the JR East Sobu Rapid service to Kamakura for a total travelling time of 1 hour and 40 minutes to Otodama Sea Studio. So if you were finished at the Tokyo Skytree by 3:15 pm you could still get to Otodama Sea Studio by doors open time of 5pm (check http://maps.google.com for details).

Welcome, welcome. Such a pity you couldn't have been enveloped into our group meet, we didn't even know we left anyone behind :comeback:. But yeah, we were at the front of the line. And by the front, I mean the front. When we went inside the live house and into the barrier system for regular peons, we were the literal first people in line. Myself and HimeWakana were there before 10 though so it's not that surprising.

Hope you get your chance to see them in Japan! I've wanted to go and have a potential family I could stay with as I'm good friends with a transfer student I met at university who's offered us a place to stay if we're ever there, so I should probably take her up on that... It looks like a fun place to go anyway, so even if you don't see Kalafina I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Don't forget to hang around the site though, we're all lovely people here :ayashii:.

Good news for you is that I got one ticket to Kalafina Otodama live but I can't go due to work T_T.
Bad news is I've given the ticket to my friend who will travel to Japan around that time but he is not interested in Kalafina. If you can make your trip to Kamakura on 1 Aug, let see if you can get the ticket from him in Tokyo.
 
^ Might be worth checking if tickets are still available anyway, as my ticket was checked pretty carefully against my name (name on ticket was in katakana, so I had to show identification with that name on it as well as my passport) when I saw Kalafina at Otodama Sea Studio in 2013.
 
^No name was printed on ticket this time, but you have to take your photo ID for buying alcohol.
