The Fate/Zero soundtrack is very good, definitely. It's up there as one of my favorites along with the KnK and Pandora Hearts soundtracks.

What would be your favorite songs by Kalafina or FictionJunction?

I particularly enjoyed the Kara no Kyoukai OST myself. :)

As for favourite Kalafina songs... 'Serenato', 'Oblivious', 'Mata Kaze ga Tsuyoku Natta', 'Ashita no Keshiki', 'Sprinter', 'Red Moon', 'Progressive', 'Kugatsu', 'magnolia', 'Alleluia', 'consolation', 'Mirai', 'to the beginning', 'Manten', 'ring your bell', 'Misundehiraku' and finally 'Believe' are the tracks I love the most.

If you enjoy monogatari series, you should check it out. Plus, kajiura is doing the music. The major downside is there are eight episodes, and they come out once a month, so the series won't even finish until June at the earliest.
