Hi! I'm Eei.

I'm a relatively new fan, although I've heard several Yuki Kajiura songs in the past but I never really appreciated it for some reason.

When a friend lent me ALL of her FictionJunction and Kalafina singles and albums by force, I got seriously hooked. (By "ALL", as in all that is released so far. She also gave me several digital copies of OSTs and live concerts.)

Now, I'm happily listening to Kajiura's compositions 24/7. This woman is a freakin' genius, I can't ignored her all these years. :/

Well then, it's nice to meet you all. :D

@ZoaKaizer: Uhm... I'm from Asia, early 20's and I found out about this website through google -- I was looking for the lyrics of Credens Justitiam. Canta-per-me.net is the number 1 result. Then I started lurking, then one way lead to another and I ended up registering for the forums.

@Kugayama: Okay, a little more about myself: I'm a uni student but my major lies in the Allied Health. I'm a member of several choral groups and has been singing on and off with them for about 10 years now -- I was originally a mezzo soprano but eventually developed into an alto after puberty kicked in.

@magnolia~: Truth be told, she has been pushing me to listen to this "Yuki Kajiura" for the longest time now. When I finally gave in and listened, I thought "holy crap, why did I ignore this freakin' woman before???" We ended up talking all day about Yuki Kajiura the day after.

Before I knew it, I started clearing my iPod and iTunes and started replacing it with Kajiura's songs and compositions. Everyday is like a treasure hunt: once I listened to something I really liked, I would repeat it endlessly until I memorized it...

Must be nice to have a friend so passionate about Kajiura. I'm all alone here haha. In my immediate group of friends, I'm the only one who's passionate about her. No one to fangirl with  I do have one friend who was my anime buddy back in high school, but she has since left to study overseas and found another passion outside anime. She still likes Kajiura's music (I recently insisted she watch Madoka and she fell in love instantly with Credens Justitiam) but she was never a passionate fan like me. She liked a whole lot of other composers too.

Not long ago I tried converting another friend, but she's the type that isn't really bothered about music in anime. She focuses on the story. So instead, I introduced her to Kalafina first cause it was the closest to her musical taste. Was planning to go backwards from there. Kalafina > FictionJunction > Kajiura :plot: Unfortunately, while she did like Kalafina, she had zero interest in FJ so my conversion plot ended there :rain:

And hey, I'm like you too. When I first discovered Kajiura through Noir, I went crazy about her music. Put whatever I could find into my phone and listened to them 24/7. Later on did the same for Mai-HiME. Right now I have more of her music than anyone else's. She's just got such a large body of work that everyday I discover something new. The piece that is currently holding much of my attention is where I stand from Rekishi Hiwa Historia OST. It's just such a lovely piece and Wakana is absolutely brilliant in it.

Lol, ended up ranting. Anyway, nice to meet you and enjoy your journey into Kajiura-land~ :sohappy:
