Hello everyone,

My NickName is OVNI (UFO in english),I m french so please forgive me for my awfull english .

I m reading this forum at least since 6 month, so i think it s time for me to make a short présentation.

I live in France in Normandy (not far from England :)).

I m Fourty years old and watch anime since my young age (Grendizer, Captain Arlock...).

I collect Manga (at least 1000 on my shelves), Anime Figure and also Kalafina things.

I discovered Kajuira Yuki with the Anime Mai Hime songs , and follower her work from time to time.

5 years ago i discovered Fiction Junction (thanks youtube), and beautifull voice of Wakana (ok all the singers have beautifull voice in Fiction Junction!)

And with Wakana and Keiko i discovored Kalafina, and fall in love of this music band.

I think i love all the song, and since 2 years i am collecting all i can found about Kalafina!

This year i was lucky to be at Japan Expo and saw her on stage and all little events where Kalafina was (JIM, Saiko stage, ...) .

I have certainly cross some of you at Japan Expo :)

Thank for reading :)

Hi!!! another European fan +w+ I'm really happy that you had the opportunity to go to JE! It was really like a dream for me seeing them again!
Have a nice stay at CPM :)

Welcome ! :cheer:
Yay, another french member !
We are 4, or 5, now ! :ohoho:

Japan Expo, Saiko!Stage.. Which day ? :plz:

Thank a lot :dote:.

@Daphné : I was on saiko stage Friday and Sunday (after the showcase) , I have taken some pictures on this stage but they need to be reworked.

I was on Friday too ! If you saw the mimic game, you saw me ( blue kimono, and cat ears). :innocent:
Maybe I saw you too ! :w00t:

Welcome! Ah, Normandy. I've been there on a trip before :innocent:. We sure do have a lot of French people on here, although I'm not surprised after Japan Expo. That event really shows the difference in fandom in France compared to over here in England, we pale so much in comparison :rain:. So much stuff I want that's only available in French.

You likely saw me too, especially if you were at the Saiko! Stage event on Friday. I was the guy with longish hair right at the front in the white Red Moon shirt. Finally getting to see them live has been one of the best events of my life :plz:.

Also you collect anime figurines? That makes two of us :sohappy:. Got anything interesting?

Hope you enjoy your stay here!

@Daphné Yes i saw you and your are on my picture :goodjob: ui think we have talked on another forum (Nolife) .

@Seasonreapre, i collet anime figure since 15 years, My first on was belldandy from ah my Godess, (kalafina sometinme make me think of this manga :p)
If i have time (and if it s allowed, i need to read the forum rules) i will post some picture of my collection but some are not for children huuumm :whip:

Waaaaaah an alien! Which planet are you from? Normandy? In which galaxy is it? I'm from the planet Champagne-Ardenne. :XD:

No wonder that the French community increases, I think. Before Japan Expo, it seems that it was very small... but actually, manga & anime are very popular in France. All our generation grew watching anime on TV in the 80's and 90's!

OVNI are your really fourty (40) or fourteen (14) ? If your are really fourty, it surprises me to meet an "adult" fan! (Since most of us seem to be under 25)

Its fourty :imdead:and two:blood: (42) years old, i was born in 1972,

I m from the first generation of anime lover. The first anime i had saw on TV was Goldorak (i was only 6 years old ).

I discovered the Japanese Music on Nolife tv channel with the JTop (Where we can vote for our favorite song), and now i listen almost only Japanese Music.

That's really nice to meet someone who kept in touch with its anime souvenirs so long! :V:
The only childhood souvenir I kept about anime was "Un collège fou", seeing those SD characters running and talking with their weird voice resurfaced some years ago, when I discovered by the merest chance that the manga got published. Then I couldn't stop! J-Music is also now inevitable for me. Most of the Japanese artists are far more talented and/or creative than ours.

Oh wow, that's quite a while. I've been collecting for 6 years myself. I don't have anything that falls into that category of 'unsafe for kids' though :ayashii:.

I got into Japanese music through anime (no surprises there) but actually don't listen to that much still. My taste is... eclectic. My areas of expertise are generally various forms of heavy metal and compositions for soundtracks for all mediums, although a significant proportion of my collection is related to videogames. If you're interested in that side of my taste, take a look here.

Welcome OVNI, I only discovered Yuki Kajiura's music more recently but have been able to get over to Japan and see her and FJ/Kalafina and related singers live a few times (so it's difficult being at home while Animelo Summer Live 2014 is on).

Keep posting here and feel free to ask any questions about Yuki Kajiura's music!

Thank Kugayama :)
One of my dreams is to go to Japan a day, maybe i will ask you for some information if i can make this dream come true.

I'm always impressed by the quality of Yuki Kajiura music she has so much talent

Wow, so great to have older Kajiura fans on here. I love the older animes as well. You mean Captain Harlock? I love the series, I like the Galaxy Express 999 as well. (Captain mmm) I started with Noir for Yuki, and have been following ever since. I knew Kalafina because of her, since I watched the Kara no Kyoukai films (first one I saw was in Anime Boston, then I saw them again at Anime Central in Chicago, which is near me.) Glad to have you here, I am a Wakana fan as well. I think she's still doing great, yes, she strains sometimes, but don't all singers? Have you seen the anime The Slayers? just another old but good anime, and my favorite. Oh, you may call me Liana, and if you have any questions please ask.

So Daphné it wasn't you, i messed up :@_@: sorry!

@Liana Yes captain Harlock was one anime of my childhood, In france we were lucky a lot of anime was diffused on Tv so i have a lot of anime in my memory :innocent:

I now 'The Slayers' (actualy on Manga channel tv in france :p) the OAV are very mmm crazy :ohoho:
