I have reached Yuki nirvana
So, after listening to her tracks from Al Tornelico i decided to dl her solo works. She has a lot of stuff :omg:

I have a question though, does she produce all of her stuff (music, arrangement, lyrics)?
 
Most of the first Ar Tonelico singers are from the same mold - doujin artists who do most of their songs on their own. Shimotsuki often works with other people though - myu (usually as kukui), MANYO and others I don't remember now.

My adventure with Shimotsuki started with Rozen Maiden and kukui but with the amount of stuff she was releasing after Ar Tonelico I seriously got bored.
 
I have two albums of Shinotsukin here, I think they are '100% by her', but I'm not sure. They are story CDs, just like Sound Horizon CDs. I like them, but I still have to learn more about the stories... I'm sooo lazy. The problem is that she sings alone in the album, so it's a little boring. I love her voice, but I have some problem with it, I can't love it and don't get bored with it.

There is also Lip Aura. It's not a new projet, because there is a CD from last year. It's a collab of a lot of people, but the storyline is created by her + other people I don't remember. She composed three songs of the new Lip Aura CD if I'm not wrong. Also, Kaori Oda join the group to sing in this CD and Shimotsukin composed her song. It was cool.

About the two albums I have here, their titles are ティンダーリアの種 and 星空アンサンブル. Both have amazing songs, but I can't hear it a lot... I'll try to read the translations of the first one this month.
 
^Isn't this only about Kaori partecipating at her album? :uh..: Unless you meant exactly that.

I like Haruka Shimotsuki,and some of her collaborations,mostly Shimotsuki x Revo single & Innocent Grey Haruka Shimotsuki Collection「トロイメライ.
 
i love the tieleaf album and also hikari no rasenritsu! Im not sure but I think she doesn't write all of it.
 
I love most of her songs that were used for Innocent Grey's visual novel, can't wait for her song for the next Innocent Grey's release next year :stars:
 
Necrobump!

I would like to recommend Shimotsuki's latest CD, Remle Rose no Majo. It's a really good CD and her best work in a good while IMHO. I've not skipped a second on my first playthrough. Certainly worth a necrobump. ;p

Thank you grunty!! Is that website for an anime or game or short of a story CD? Because I really like the design :dote:

After listening I have to say that the songs are reall beautiful, especially the music :nosebleed: MANYO makes far better arrangements for Haruka Shimotsuki than for Kaori :XD: But I prefer the other arrangers of the album compared to him.

This is going to be kind of off-topic - I had the choice to either bump Shimotsuki's or Shikata's threads but I chose this one since it's related to her Anniversary release and I already bumped Shikata's recently (and will do so again when her new CD/samples come out. ;p

So Shimotsukin released her 10th Anniversary BOX recently. It's pretty much a 4CD best collection spanning those 10 years of releases (with extras) and it's a very nice compilation if you don't have everything from Shimotsuki's catalogue already. (Amusingly she started on the doujin scene in like 2002.)

I haven't heard some of the game songs before so when the opening to Atelier Iris ETERNAL MANA came on I kind of went WTF. @george1234, maybe you remember this little conversation in Shikata's thread when Ar nosurge's trailer came out.

He really is a 1 trick pony. lol. The track is like a prototype of the Ar tonelico opening songs.

Thanks for the info about that compilation. I've wanted her to release something like that for a long time. I really enjoyed her gust songs and some random fantasy tracks which I found on YT but the amount of stuff she released over these years (and a number of different people she collaborated with) had discouraged newbie like me. I'll just stick to these songs for now (or maybe people who are more familiar with her can give some recommendations).
 
Personally I'd recommend kukui's "Leer Lied" album (cause I really like myu and their Rozen Maiden songs) and the two fantasy vocal albums that Yukito mentioned earlier ("Tindharia no Tane", "Griotte no Nemuri Hime"), if you don't care about collecting everything, lol. Maybe if you like something from this BEST you could go for the appropriate original releases.
