Hello there everyone!
I'm not very good at introductions, but I'll try my best to introduce myself. I was converted to Kajiuranism by my boyfriend, who watched Noir some years ago and fell in love with Kajiura's fantastic music :dote: So far, I've got to know her works for Noir, Xenosaga I and II and Kara no Kyoukai. I plan to hear all of her OSTs in the animes themselves, so it will take a lot of time to hear everything :uh..: I also love Kalafina to death :sohappy:
I hope I can get along with everyone here and make new friends as well ^^

Hm. KP-X is a part of KOS-MOS' model number right? You're a great person.

Welcome aboard!
xenosaga must be one of Yuki's best soundtracks imho. Although she did not compose for Xenosaga I.

Yeah, the OST is fantastic! It's a pity that they did not use the second one very well in the game, like, cutting Lamentation almost completely :uh..: That has got to be one of my favorite songs by Kajiura and they just treated it as if it were trash :omg: But at least they redeemed themselves in the 3rd one, having Hepatica (KOS-MOS) as a battle theme was one of my best experiences as a player ever

Hi KP-X! Where are you from? :ayashii:

Hi ^^ I'm from Brazil

Yay for Brazil!
Hepatica was a battle theme??? Omg it's even hard to imagine... Truly, there are few such battle themes in games, Hepatica is a unique song for sure (not to mention it's gorgeous). I wonder if Godsibb is a battle theme, too?
Once when visiting a friend, I saw Xenosaga 3 alive, but only a couple of intro movies (but the second one seemd to contain some unreleased track). Voice-dubs, however, sounded not that good.
I remember feeling frustrated at some reviewers who accused Xenosaga 2 of "having vocal parts where other composers wouldn't use them". OF COURSE there are vocals, it's Yuki Kajiura we're talking about! (not to mention that those guys propably never heard of Haruka Shimotsuki :bwahaha: ). Vocals are a part of the soundtracks's brilliance here...
Ah, sorry, I rambled too far away from the topic. :XD:

Yes, both Hepatica (KOS-MOS) and godsibb were used as battle themes. In reality, Kajiura made MANY songs for battles:
the battle of your soul
hepatica (KOS-MOS)
Testament
godsibb
Promised Pain :dote:
Battleland
Outrageous
Fatal Fight 4
fallout
Minor Boss Battle
Battle vs Yuriev
the harsh truth (piano+strings)
survive
Maybe there are more, but those are the ones I remember. As for Xenosaga II, I remember that Communication Breakdown didn't have the vocals :omg: :uh..:

Why, it featured a whole choir. A great song, on par with Promised Plan from Xenosaga 3. :nosebleed:

Yeah, even before I played Xeno II I had already heard the soundtrack, and so I could only cry at what they did :omg:
