First, I'll address this.
I was never banned. Another indication of the awful communication between fellow CPM administrators.
Spam was the least of the issues- in fact, in the light of other things it's downright forgettable. There were more serious problems which begin and end with the CPM administration. Having been a mod and experienced the frustration, I know this personally. Not elaborating further because I'll just get a tl;dr post of excuses in response- the other exit threads have made this clear.
"Rules-Gate":
After I quit modship, I saw no point in giving CPM the rules. The admins and mods had no intentions of enforcing them, so putting up stern crap with no one taking it seriously would just make the team a joke. Even now they can't follow the rules they wrote themselves (ex: not allowing multiple accounts but letting banned users make new accounts). Oh well- all negligence is explained away by busyness, after all.
I still can't believe sarcasm is banned. Especially when the majority of the admins/mods can't tell when it's being used.
---------------------------
I decided to quit a while ago and intended on leaving quietly, but tsubasa's, KP-X's and niney's posts were epic so why the hell not, I'll make one too.
Back in the day CPM was an accepting, interesting forum. Now that many of the members who made this place worthwhile are gone, there's nothing to be gained by remaining active. My disillusionment intensified after becoming a mod, but the way the site has devolved has completely killed off my motivation to stay here.
Speaking of my modship... looking back, I know I did a shitty job. As a mod, I should have been calm and thought things through before acting. My bad temper was partly due to said "serious problems" and the general way CPM discussions run but those aren't excuses. Some members I treated unfairly, and for what it's worth I am sorry.
I'm not going to be sorry for having opinions though. It's been amusing to read deluded fans raging over haturz!!11!1, but a damn shame to see valid and/or respectful criticisms by other users being dismissed as hate. As far as I know, there are no haters here; give me a "hater's" username and I can list all the YK works they love. Originally my criticisms were mild and I took extra care to make them tactful, but as my displeasure with YK's works increased and any sort of negative comment is interpreted as hate or rebutted with excuses, there was just no point.
While my time here has had its ups and downs, I met some lovely people. Most already know they're awesome, but a few need mentioning. Pontianak, when you're not in full on bitch mode you are insightful and make fantastic points . (Please don't take this as an insult.) Cerise, CruelAngel, and missjasminn, I haven't talked to you much but I'd like to express my sincere appreciation for your respect of differing opinions while remaining optimistic YK fans. I hope mentioning you here won't get you blacklisted from anyone's circles LOL.
I think that's it. Anything else I neglected to mention is probably in the other exit threads floating around. It's been an experience.

Quite the fireworks festival we've got today~
george1234 said:Well, to make long story short, there was a period were there was LOTS of spam, so winter demanded from Kera and Sud to change the forum software to an other one with more spam protection and change the chat software to one that that make permanent ban posible (because on the current on, even if you get kicked, you can enter as many times as you want). But there wasnt possible to find such software that was fitting and free, so she start attacking personally to Kera for many days + fuse on the forum, so she got banned for short period of time, untill she calmed down.
She also had made her own set of rules so when she got banned, which then she got down and didnt let us reuse them.
Now we have both rules and much better antispam so she has no reason to complain anymore XD
