Okay, I got my hands on the album now, and I am going to write my honest opinion about it right here, song for song. I don’t mind of you disagree with me, since I am only a single person :D

Well, here goes nothing.
As far as the cover goes, I was really disappointed. Seriously. It looks like a pizzaface of a teenager just spent 6 minutes on throwing it together. Compared to the Progressive cover, this seriously blows.
A white BG, Kalafina, a red moon and a crappy tree…. Seriously…. Did they cross a deadline, or did they blow the budget?

Booklet: Nothing special here. A lot of writing I can’t read….

Songs:

Red Moon: Epic song, Epic lyrics, Epic voices, epic everything. This song blew my mind, and I am ready to hear the rest of the album! This song makes everything so promising!

Hikari no Senritsu: Wow, this sounds unexpectedly cheerful for Kalafina. Really catchy and light song ~

Te to Te Me to Me: Okay, THAT WAS UNWANTED. I couldn’t make myself listen to more than two freaking minutes of that ****. Why is it eastern-themed? Why does Keiko’s voice sound like crap? Why did you even make this, Kajiura? Who even likes this song? So many questions, no answers….

Fantasia: Wow…. The start is sure weird…. That start and the music mostly doesn’t fit with the title in any way. The chours are awesome! I love the parts where they sing “Faaaantaasiiiaaaa” :D The chours are truly spellbinding. Too bad the rest of the song isn’t…. This would have kicked major ass if it didn’t sound like a bad trip in the beginning and in the gaps between the singing….

Haru wa Ougon no Yume no Naka: Such a gentle song… And sad…. Perfect for bedtime!

Kyrie: Major kick-ass! I love that it is more vivid than what I expected it to be after the first 15 seconds of the song!

Yami no Uta: Read Te to Te Me to Me, just throw in “but it is still somehow good” once in a while.

Hoshi no Utai: I want to use this when I am running! So energic!

Intermezzo: Dear Kajiura. Please make a 9 minutes long version! I love the way you have composed it and the way it is sung. But why, why did you only make it two minutes long?

I have a Dream: Meh. Filler-song…. Not good, not bad… Kinda generic….

Well, that was me being a critic for a while… I know I suck, but it was worth a try :D

Personaly, Red Moon, Tetotetometome , Yami no Uta and Kyrie were my favourite songs. I dont get how you find Tetotetometome and Yami no Uta sucking but I bet that you just dont like eastern themed music, thus your opinion.

It's not that i don't like eastern-themed music, it's just that i don't like the two songs.

Definition of fantasia: an unstructured instrumental composition, often characterized by exaggeration, distortion and unpredictability. Throughout its use, fantasia often meant free improvisation, and was used to describe a work that gave the impression of flowing spontaneously from a player’s imagination. The term was sometimes used interchangeably with capriccio, voluntary, toccata and canzona, among others. work of unstructured form, originally an improvisation.

You don't mind if people disagree yet you're imposing your thoughts onto other people. "Who even likes this song?"

... 'Scuse me?!

Agree on everything except Te to Te to Me to Me and Yami no Uta. The former is fun and sounds like it'd be a crowd pleaser at concerts something that the girls will be smiling and moving to, the latter made me fall deeply and totally in love with Keiko's voice :shy: and I just think it's very powerful and dramatic.

Thanks Mint for interesting remark! Now I can take a new look upon the whole song. :ayashii:
as to Daichi's review, everyone has an opinion and the right to express it. Although oddly, I never actually saw Yami no Uta as an eastern-themed song; it gives me an impression of something theatrical, almost on par with projects like "Notre-Dame de Paris" (sorry if I've mispelt it) and "Phantom of the Opera". And that's what I like about this song. :shy:
my opinion on the album is unchanged: omitting some distructured-ness in Fantasia (which, according to Mint's info, might actually derive from the planned form) and woeful shortness of Intermezzo, it is as brilliant as pop music can ever get in god-blessed hands. And it generally differs from Seventh Heaven in several aspects, which is also a good thing. I can't wait to see what the next album will end up being like. :stars:

just like george, red moon, tetotetometome, yami no uta, and kyrie were my favourite track of the album, and i agree with what george said, I bet that you just don't like eastern themed music. I think tetotetometome was just cute and funny~~you have to see the way they(kalafina) performed tetotetometome in live!!! They do their best stage act when they sang that song~ and for just my opinion, you just dislike Keiko's voice when she is the main vocal
Her voice was the most unique in Kalafina. not many girl use alto when they're singing, and Keiko's alto is the most beautiful alto I ever heard~

Exactly, ransho. That's exactly what's going on. 'Cause I notice that he praises all the songs Wakana is lead in (red moon, haru wa kogane no yume no naka, kyrie, intermezzo, i have a dream) and yet all of Keiko's get flamed? which by the way she wasn't even too much LEAD in most of them besides TETOTETOMETOME!

obviously agree with you! :sparkleguy:
i'm happy that there is another person who agree with my opinion.. :shy:
I said that because like what you said, he praises all the songs that Wakana lead in, and flames all the songs that have many Keiko's voice, like TETOTETOMETOME and yami no uta...and just like what you said, Kizu, the songs that I heard a lot of Keiko's singing were only TETOTETOMETOME, Ongaku, and yami no uta... I think (and know) that many people like TETOTETOMETOME, since that song was obviously unique and different than any Kalafina's songs :ayashii:

and not only that Kizu, I just realized that he praised fantasia, but he said that the beginning was awful..and because I'm hearing that song right now, I remembered the beginning was KEIKO's voice!!

what makes me like fantasia is because Keiko's voice...

and for Daichi, I'm saying those not because I like Keiko, okay, actually I do like Keiko, but all that I have to say that, if you dislike her voice, you can just erased the songs that have many Keiko's voice, but don't flame her like that. You said that her voice was like crap in Tetotetometome, but I think Keiko's voice in Tetotetometome was cute..

Like you can sing better than her :blood:

I bet you flamed her because you can't follow her voice, since it's so unique :XD:

I agree, ransho! I didn't make that fantasia connection before xD

Daichi just thinks he/she is all that and decided to make a big fuss about his/her "return to the forum" as if he/she is some large figure of great recognition.... There's nothing to say in response to that.

IMHO you're a bit too tough on someone who just expressed his opinion. :XD: And even if he really isn't fond of Keiko's voice, there's nothing criminal to it, nor to saying it at loud. It IS a forum, after all. Take it easy. :tea:

sorry for being too tough to you. i just say my opinion. :innocent:
if you feel and think that i'm so cruel, i'm so sorrryyy :D

Whoa, take it easy guys. It's not like he specifically said he hated Keiko maybe it just so happens he really didn't like those particular songs?

Like I noticed not too long ago that some of my least favorite Kalafina songs tend to be lead by Wakana. Doesn't mean I don't like her, I just don't like the songs. :glasses:

what made me say that he/she hated Keiko is because he flamed all the songs where Keiko has her own solo part. Like Tetotetometome and Yami no uta. He/she even said that the beginning of fantasia, which is sang by "Keiko" is awful. But he/she say all the good things about other songs, where Keiko has no solo part, except Hoshi no Utai, which he said that the song is so energetic~ And *once again, just my opinion* he said that I have a Dream is an ordinary song, a filler song. I start thinking that he said that because in I have a dream, Keiko has 2 solo part, after the first chorus, after hikaru's solo *yakou ressha no mado..* and before the last chorus *toki wa yuku, bokutachi wa..*

once again, that's all my opinion. And I've said sorry to him/her~ *see my previous post*

:XD: :XD: :V: :innocent:

I'm only trying to shed some light on the situation. Instead of hiding the fact that he hates Keiko's voice, why doesn't he just come straight out and say it? Like you said. This IS a forum. I don't think there is need of any incognito going on. There is no need for avoiding the heart of the truth on the internet.

I'm just clockin' the tea where it needs to be clocked.
