Concerts you have been to

LianaIlia36

I have reached Yuki nirvana
It's just as the title says: list and talk about the concerts you have been to. I thought it would be a fun topic. Let's see, mine are:

Jewel
John Mayor
Sarah Mclachlln
Keith Urban (twice)
Video Games Live
Kate Voegele
Alison Krauss
and now Lindsey Stirling
And Kalafina Anime Boston

Of course Kalafina has been my favorite so far, but I loved Keith and Jewel and Video Games Live was pretty awesome too. I am seeing Lindsey Stirling tomorrow and Kalafina again in May. Please share your concerts and experiences! :dote:

I think every concert that I have attended were only classical piano concert so far. I hope I could attend another concert other than classical music in the future (^_^)

Hmmm, Ive been to various concerts, wether classical or modern, I cannot remember them all.. :desksweat:
And as I dont really listen to estrade, its not much famous things Ive been to :uh..:

But if we talk of a very good impression I just love both times I was on Flogging Molly concert! Its just so lively and dancish! :sohappy:

I had been to a Vanessa Mae concert 2 years ago viewtopic.php?f=30&t=2832&hilit= and a Dionisis Savopulos one that was free more years ago.

I am not really into concerts since I dont like most of the music that's sold in greek stores. BUT I would definetely go to a Kokia/ Yuki / Kalafina one if they magical happen to be here :nosebleed:

^vanessa mae would be great too, I am really looking forward to Lindsey Stirling tonight. I don't usually like crowds and I hope there isn't someone talking the whole time like there was at the Jewel concert. That was annoying.

Oh, you can also post who you wish to see. Kalaafin/Yuki related obviously. But I would want:
Evanescence
Loreena McKennitt
Blackmore's Night
Natalie Imbruglia
Minami Kuribayashi
and so many more. There is just too many. heh

All the Final Fantasy Concerts held in IL
Play! Videogame Symphony
Hikaru Utada

Anime Convention Concerts:
Yoko Ishida (ACen 2003)
The Pillows (ACen 2005)
High and Mighty Color (ACen 2007)
SOS Brigade Invasion Tour (AX 2007)

Misc shows:
Celine Dion so many years ago lol
Andy Lau

^Cool! Yoko must have been good, I really like her voice.

I added a couple I just remembered about while at the concert last night. Wow it was amazing. She is truly an amazing violinist, as good as Konno! hehe She played the Zelda medley and Phantom one, and the crowd was even put in a video. She had us dance to 'Party party party yeah!' lol It should be up on Lindsey's channel in a week she said. :dote:

^ Yeah, Yoko is great :glasses:

I just remembered I had a very good time on Gregorian concert two years ago. They are coming again in less than a month but I somehow doubt Ill go. But me and my sisters are planning to buy tickets to our parents for Easter :groucho:

I heard and confirmed on the Internet that Siddharta is coming in Zagreb... :uh..:
I might go but....probably meh...since I stopped listening to them after 'Petroleja' album. Id probably go if i knew that they will sing many old songs. But they wont. I was twice on their concert a little bit less than ten years ago..first one was a true blast. But a second one was meh..
Ah well :XD:

Now I have of course been to Kalafina at Anime Central. Twice for Kala now! What I wish they would have sung were: lirica, Kyrie, magnolia (would have been awesome), and Kotonoha the most. And I wish Konno was there, but it still was a great concert. I hope to soon go to a FJ concert, since it is so much longer, but I would first need a full time job. heh

I go to more rock concerts than other genres usually. Just this year, I've seen Coheed and Cambria, Lacuna Coil, and Steven Wilson (of Porcupine Tree fame) perform live locally, then seeing Kalafina at ACen last week.

I attended a number of them in high school when I played in the high school band these days not so much. Remembering seeing College Jazz Bands and other local performances.

The last major concert I went to was Video Games Live a year ago or so and it was my first time ever it was fantastic to hear some of my favorites played. Still wish they would break out of the staple series, (namely Zelda, Sonic, Mario, Halo, Chrono Trigger/Cross) and play some of Kajiura's Xenosaga! Well Mitsuda's Xenosaga would be good too no doubt. But overall it was fantastic and I really enjoyed it.

^ Well, the only videogames concert we had here was Final Fantasy Distant Worlds last November conducted by Arnie Roth with Nobuo Uematsu in attendance - I don't think anyone who attended was disappointed, it covered everything so well.

Yeah, I was also there and was hoping they would play Xenosaga as well. I was like please do Lamentation, or godsibb would have been awesome. Still, I was excited to see Assassin's Creed, since I love the music of those games.

^ I agree, the Assassin's Creed game soundtracks are really good, I especially love AC2's soundtrack :)

The only concert I've been to so far is to see Metric but other groups/bands I really want to see are:

Kalafina
FictionJunction
Arctic Monkeys
The Black Keys
The Strokes
Franz Ferdinand
Marina and the Diamonds
Arcade Fire
Regina Spektor

And there are many more that I can't of right now lol

^Yes, AC2's is the best out of all of them.

I just saw Sarah Brightman last night. I must say she is incredible. I think even better than Yuki's vocalists. She sang for an hour straight before taking a break, some were opera songs with very high notes and very long ones. Then there was a short intermission and she sang another hour, and Phantom of the Opera towards the end! She did about 5 ahhs before the really high note at the end of the song. She was also on a rising platform and in very tight dresses. It was amazing. :dote:

:uh..: JJ Heller / Audrey Assad
Heart

Unless you count musical school performances...that's it... :uh..:

Shahrukh Khan, Kalafina at AFAID, and LOKA Concert. T-that's all...

The last concerts I went to are the ones happened at the Tokyo Crazy Kawaii Paris in last September.
My live-report (in French only, sorry) of one of them (maybe one of the most expected).
I am working on the website and on another Live-report (the Anna Tsuchiya's one)
