well, this is an old manga / anime...but have anyone ever watch the anime or read the manga? :ayashii:

I have watched the anime (its ED was my second exposition to Yuki's works after Tsubasa Chronicle, and I really loved this song :sohappy: The OP by Minami Kuribayashi is also nice). The story is fine, frivolous enough with religious matters that you'd want to label it as a fantasy world just to be safe, but with solid aesops and heartwarming moments, not to mention a very tearjerking ending. :touched:

They say the manga differs from the adaptation, but I didn't care much to check until a Russian version was licensed. So I bought the first volume, and it was OK as well... but then the releases stalled heavily (unfortunately, that's the issue with the distributor which I otherwise like and follow - their first license was Ranma 1/2 that resuscitated my interest towards anime/manga and is one of my fave manga series to this day, but they have only released 15 volumes SINCE 2005). And again, I don't care enough to seek English scans. :XD:

yes...but in my opinion, the manga has much better plot than the anime
and have more heartwrenching ending I think...
I love the manga so much...it's one of favorite manga so far... :dote:

Agreed. I watched and read it, and I like the manga ten times better. But there goes seven years since I watched it, and one or two since I read it, so I won't be able to enter the reasons of my preference. :XD:

OP was the first thing I've ever heard of Minami Kuribayashi, and ED was the first thing I've heard of Kajiura, and today I'm a fan of both (I would only find out about Kajiura some five years later, tough :ohoho: :imdead:). And I do love Sayonara Solitaire hell a lot. I want an FJ version.

And I think that maybe I'm too cold. Both endings didn't move me at all. :imdead:
