Calling out to San Francisco fans!

Atlas Star

El Cazador de la Yuki
Hey dudes and chicks!

Who's from San Fran?

Any tips on stores to buy Japanese merch??

(How long before I'm reprimanded for posting in the wrong forum LMAOOO)

@Atlas Star I'm not from San Francisco, so this may not help much, however I've learned there's a Kinokuniya there. I'm not sure if you know of it already, but if it's anything like the the one I've been to on the East Coast, it has Japanese books, CDs, anime stuff, and more. I think someone on this board found FJ CDs in the San Fransisco store, actually. They're a bit pricey, though.

Hope someone will be more helpful to you!

I bought FJs Elemental and Kalafina's Far On The Water (the version with the BD; there was no regular version) at Kinokuniya Bookstore during my San Fran trip. I paid way too much, but on the other hand, I got to hold them right away. They also had Kalafina's Believe and (I think) Ring Your Bell singles.

Yup they had RYB and Believe (anime edition) for about 18 bucks each, which would've been how much I paid if I ordered via CDJ; but I passed b/c I don't really care about the anime editions :P

I got my hands on the Live Vol. 4 BD (both YUUKA and FJ) for 50% off, fortunately, at Kinokuniya San Fran!

Man I wish there was somewhere in the UK that actually sold anything of much interest like this. I've heard good things about Kinokuniya from some of my US friends and people who've travelled over there. All we get is the occasional item at conventions and even then they can be ridiculously expensive. I found one of the Noir OSTs at a convention once for £35, which is around 5800 yen at current rates. Never seen any Kala or FJ stuff here before at all.

@Seasonreaper our local anime shop used to carry anime soundtrack CD's but doesn't any more.

At least the Japanese events carry a fair amount of merchandise including CD's and videos.

Since when did any kind of anime shop sell CDs over here? news to me, shame it doesn't happen anymore. Also what other Japanese events are there in Adelaide other then AVCon??? I don't know of any others. I hope I can get to AVCon this year, it should be fun.

Shame these events don't get talked about much, even during OzAsia.
