I know what you're thinking. Why would YK fans be interested in an experimental drone metal/punk band who release albums that are called 'Feedbacker', 'Heavy Rocks' and 'Amplifier Worship'? Honestly though, these guys are one of the most 'diverse' bands I've ever heard - some of their stuff is still awesome, but not heavy at all.
'Pink' and 'Akuma no Uta' are great if you want to rock out and tap your feet to some fuzzy, heavy craziness. The drummer looks like a cross between a CLAMP bishie hero and Animal from the Muppets. He's cool. The bass player has a double-necked guitar/bass guitar, which is mental. And cool. The guitarist makes one of the most astonishing noises I've ever heard. She's kinda hot. And can sing, albeit only on a few of their songs. She's cool too. Like pretty much all Japanese rock musicians I've seen, they're super-nice people.
Before Asobi Seksu disbanded, they did a split EP with Boris and each covered one of the other band's songs (it's on Bandcamp: http://boris.bandcamp.com/releases). Boris' guitarist has a really nice voice and the songs she sings on - like 'Rainbow', 'Angel' and the 'Attention Please' album - are just really pleasant to listen to while being 'noisy' and unusual at the same time. I dunno. Maybe it's better if you HAVEN'T heard their heavy stuff before, so you can enjoy the songs for what they are without comparing them to everything else they've done.
A lot of the time, their albums all sound so different that I thought, "is this the same band?" This song is one of my favourite of their 'lighter' songs. Gorgeous vocals!

Apologies - tbe BBcode for YT links seems to have stopped working...not sure why. I might add a reply to the bugs/fixes thread to ask about it.
