I was thinking about this a while back while browsing around here, because I know I plan to go in it! Then hopefully creating a little or a few series of my own, with Yuki doing the music for it! Hopefully! That would be so amazing! So, yeah, just curious.

You have no idea how many times I have heard that one, so it's no biggie! But all we all need is hope and keep on working to the fullest! I'm just keeping some hope. But I won't worry about it till the time actually comes!

my dream is to make music and/or songs for animation, regardless of in what country it's created :shy: but I, at best, have a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go. :XD:

Well with me, I barely started college. Then after two years of it, I'm going to transfer to a local art university and continue taking animation(I'm currently taking it at the community college I'm attending at). So I gotta work my butt off and hope for the best! But I believe that I will get the oppurtunity to start on developing my ideas into animation, meet Yuki, and hopefully having the music done by her! It might be difficult, but not impossible! You just gotta put you're mind to it and focus on it!

I am planning... actually,... :tea: hmm, I'm planning to take something related to animation... :confu:

I hope Yuki would still be alive and well, and Kalafina are still not disbanded by the time we make those... :psst:

awesome!!! I hope you succeed with everything ^_^
One day we will be watching your animes!
Heh.... Thanks! Though, I don't think my style of drawing is, well, "anime-like", but elements of them! Plus, since going to Japan is horribly expensive, I was actually planning on creating my series here, in the U.S.! Hopefully I can change the minds of those in the animation industry to take animation as an art, not some piece of trash. Though I have to admit, some cartoons here are decent, but I'm waiting for an animated series, targeting an older audience, with a well developed storyline to it! I hope that makes sense........ So far I've only created a few stories and people have been categorizing them as "dark humor". I haven't written any of them out yet, but I'm determine to persuade people that this would be a good change! Also, people have been telling me that if my stories actually become series, it would be the most unique out there, because I plan to use a Japanese composer to make music for an American cartoon! I don't know if anyone has done that already, but I'm willing to bring back originality!

I once had a dream to become an anime soundtrack composer.

It didn't work out in the end. :uh..:

Good luck Mamoru!
I like your determination :goodjob:

The only thing is that Yuki may want too much money for her work :ayashii: :blood:

I super-duper-ultra-monster really want to be a seiyuu-singer. :shy: (Like Mizuki Nana)

But, I don't think I can make it... :uh..:

Hikz...

I hope I can live & work in Japan....

with the prices there, the ideal would be to work in Japan but live elsewhere. :ohoho:

It didn't work out in the end

while you're alive, it might be too early to talk about the end. Sometimes people are forced to postpone their dreams till later, but it's never wise to give up on them completely.
So to everyone in this topic, best of luck! :sparkleguy: :V:

To be honest, I actually want to start here in the U.S.! And work on what I want to do here! Since I'm aiming for uniqueness, I want to use American animation(which I think it also uses animation from different countries), plus use a Japanese composer for the music(Yuki Kajiura)! Cuz I gotta tell you, animation here is sorta going downhill, and I want people to appreciate it as an art and a source of entertainment! Not some lame excuse of a cartoon where it's just full of, well, mush that companies create to make profit! I mean, this country needs to start making stuff about what the people want! Not what they think they want by reusing the same kind of idea until it gets old! It gets pretty annoying! And one of the things that I can't stand, is clichès! I WANT ORIGINALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK????!!!!!!!!?!?!!!!!!?!!!???!!?!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you here. Even the biggest players are having a rough time, while companies like Nickelodeon keep producing animated nightmares steadily. :uh..:
(ah, what can we say about Nickelodeon, when even Disney Channel airs some really scary stuff! :blood: )

I think it's time to do something about it. I have a theory that the companies constantly go to the professionals for "new ideas", which may be the source of all these clichès! Since they have been with the company for so long, their Ideas get stale. What I suggest the companies to do is give amatures a chance! Sure it sounds a bit unorthodox, but maybe that's what needs to happen! We need fresh, young ideas!

As much as I want to work into the animation industry, I don't think I would like it. There's not enough time to make decent series nowadays (since I wanted to work in Japan), there's no liberty at all in the creation process and you depend too much on the public. I would like Kajiura to make the compositions should I make any animation, though :shy:

This may be true for some that have a lot on their hands, but it is possible for other people to at least create an idea, and once they get together with a company, the people would be able to help develop that idea! You just gotta think of some in advance.
